Just kiddin about the CIA. I'm crazy but not that crazy! Though DH and I make a lot of jokes about tin-foil hats....and we have this very complex theory about cats and aliens...but that's for another forum!

I hate hearing people pronounce "community" as if it starts with a "q".

I hate the work "folks." I'm not sure why but it annoys me when I'm addressed that way. "That's all, FOLKS!"

Supposably...I despise this word. The girls at my office say this all the time and I can't remember how many times I've told them it's SUPPOSEDLY!!!

And I hate the word "sure", because DH always uses it when I have an idea or suggestion, and he's not really interested.

This one gets me, too. I don't know why, but even worse is, ladies and "GENTS"....I hate the word, "gents". It sounds like something that was conjured up in the late 1800's to describe old geezer guys.......

I hate MOIST and BALM. And "fecund", although it's rarely used.

If a salesperson were to say "this lip balm keeps your lips very moist", I'd run the other way! :)

"like" why my generation can't explain something without using like every other word I have no idea.

Also, I can't stand when people mix up terms such as "accept" and "except". Someone actually wrote on their facebook profile, "I like everything accept..."

My European History teacher used to write 'loose' when he meant to say 'lose'

I went mad every time he put it on the board!
