Words that grate, words you hate....

My mil pronouces ibuprophen "ibupropen" - no "ph" sound. It drives my up the wall.

I hate when someone says "nuc-u-lar" Instead of "nuclear"

I also hate when someone says "dominate" when they mean "dominant"

I've never heard this IRL - only said on tv by certain famous people. It makes me feel

Yes, all that emotion from one mispronounced word. I think I need to learn how to meditate or something.

I have heard it in real life, even by PhD scientists (not in that field of study). My DH laughs because when I hear it on tv I cannot help but make gakking noises, LOL. It's an involuntary response!
