I'm a fan of the word "moist" - it makes me giggle - I used it in some disgusting way at a bbq today. Had everyone rolling (yes, I lack class). I don't like the c-word but honestly the word "c*nty has a certain appeal to me. I probably won't ever use it on anyone but Selena, Irishgal, Chag, Nishi and Sunshine. It seems to suit them the most!
I ain't never been called a c*nty before there miss... hopefully I ain't never gonna be called one and yes I can see how you and the word moist would get along just dandy

"We want to have a kid one day". You mean you want to have a child one day, or do you really mean you want a baby goat?
What the heck does ZOMG mean? Drives me mad.

Also, a ton of people I know still say "funner", which is a little annoying.

Another thing I dislike is when people say pronounce Illinois "Illi-noise", and Missouri "Missour-uh".
i said that a couple times, but laughed afterwards, i know how to pronounce it. I was just being a dork when i said it I have family that live there. Also there are the people that say Are-Kansas instead of Are-Kan-Sah(arkansas)...

I can't believe I just read all 10 pages of this thread, as if I don't have a graduation to attend in a few short hours.

This was quite entertaining. I am certain I have made more than my share of faux pas...

My apologies in advance for those I make in the future

Also any of the cutesy words mentioned here. Sunnies, tennies, lippies or any other word that is childlike. Putting "y" or "ie" at the end of words is nauseating to me. This type of lingo bothers me less on webites like this as I understand people like to keep the nature of discussion somewhat light, but if someone speaks like that face to face, I would think they may be a bit flaky.
i do this sometimes and my DH laughs at me though i usually only do this talking to him for reasons i have no idea though i do say sunnies... i have never said lippies though or lappy? i call my tennies, shoes

i've never heard anybody ever use either of those words?

i dont know if i have any to add, since everyone has already said mine.

Oh my gosh, people it's "I could HAVE bought that purse."

This is everywhere now, and it really winds me up too!

I was going to post this myself, but I thought I'd make sure no-one had posted it already...... sure enough

I have a few, 'off of' and 'in back' are the two main ones. If I read these anywhere I go back to the start of the sentence and re-read it visualising 'from' or just 'off' and 'out back' or 'around the back' in place of the offending words. Makes me feel better.

Also, I loathe when people write/say 'your good self' or 'my hot self' UGH! And 'get my [whatever] on' like 'I'm going to get my dance on' if they are going to a club or something. I hate the use of 'imma' instead of 'I'm/I am'.

I have heaps actually, 'supposively' which I came across on another forum the other day and 'devine' which many otherwise intelligent women seem to use nowadays. It is 'divine'.

As for legitimate words that I don't like, 'canoodle' gives me the heebie-jeebies. And yes, 'heebie-jeebies' is a perfectly acceptable phrase!

Hehe I use ZOMG all the time, I say it out loud and my friends always ask me what it means. It's just OMG with a Z in front, it means "Z oh my gosh". Its usually used sarcastically, eg.
"Oh noes I hurt my foot"
"ZOMG!!!!".

I love it!

Nope, the Z just emphasises the OMG, it doesn't stand for anything. It's like the inverse of ROFL, ROFL should be ROTFL if it is "Rolling on the floor laughing". In this case an unnecessary letter is added rather than taking one away.
