I like that Blogspot lets you screen comments before they are posted.

P.S. Pursegrrl - I just checked out your blog - I love your writing style, and am now following your blog.
OMG! and

Pippi, you just MADE MY DAY. I just had not one but TWO job rejections for positions I applied for earlier this week, and I admit it kinda stung. But I know it just means I don't have to waste energy on those two things anymore and can focus on others!

I will check yours out too!

OMG, do we have the same Mom? That happened to me too and 30+ years later it still smolders just a tad. I got really, really good at hiding mine...and admittedly haven't sent my blog link to my Mom yet .

And to the first part of your post, shoo, we DO love what you have to say. I hope you're secretly penning your memoirs!

I have a blog but have been taking time off it these past couple of weeks. It's a news and views kinda thing.

For me, it's a good creative outlet and that's about it. I enjoy taking pictures and writing, and I originally started my blog (a year ago this October!) as a means to just get some thoughts and pictures and words out of my head as a release.

It ended up turning into a bit more somewhere along the way- but the neat thing is that I've met so many new people and made new friends (that live near me!) that I would have never met otherwise. It's been absolutely great for that.

Great question! Honestly, I never thought I'd be doing it since there are so many out there.

But you know what? Right now I'm out of work and while I'm job hunting and doing pro bono work part time I've realized there are things I need to say, LOL!! It's a great, creative outlet. People can read it, love it, hate it, ignore it - doesn't matter. It's me through and through and wonderfully therapeutic.

If I'd continued working fulltime I don't think these attempts at creative juices would be flowing as they are now.

Mine is mostly about two things I like that nobody else cares about (sports and knitting, not really a huge intersecting audience there) and I get to feel like I have someone to discuss it with when I blog even though I get maybe two reads per post. I like it, though.

I have two blogs, a fashion/retail industry blog http://AddBubblesToTaste.com and then a personal blog, http://fatskinnygirl.com

ABTT is my baby, though. I'm really passionate about the fashion/retail industry and so it's a mix of sample sale invites, industry articles, industry trends and trendcasting (because I know I like to read about what will be "in" 9 months from now)...

I've kept a journal since I was 10 and wrote in it religiously until I was about 19 or so, then switched over to an electronic version but now I only seem to write when I'm stressing on things or bad crap is happening in my life. I always remember though what one of my friends from high school said with regards to keeping a journal, she said that if the things that happened in my life were that important that i would remember them without having to write them down. and yeah, thats pretty true. lol. i was reading some of my old journals and its stuff like "today i wore the blue skirt with the gray shirt, and i had blah blah for lunch and so and so at school did this and that" so yeah really random musings. I dont think i have the patience for an online blog though, but I love reading other peoples!!!

I've always loved your work! I would love to learn how to do the detailed wire wrapping that you do.

I started just because and kind of to keep track of stuff. My posts are mainly recipes and cooking and odds and ends I'm working on. If I make a recipe that sucked or it was great, but I changed something, I have a note then. For the bathroom renovation I'm going to be doing, when I find links, if I write about what I liked or was looking at, I'm more likely to remember where things go rather than just a bookmark. Plus, it is kind of fun. I don't think anybody really reads it, but that is okay!

I started blogging to keep track of things and to document what happens in my life. My blog is sort of a fashion blog. I started it because I was in a fashion rut. I wanted to document what I wore so I could find new ways to wear clothes in my closet instead of buying new clothes. Btw my blog address is in my siggy.
