Exclamation Which SUV will you pick?
I'm considering the purchase of SUV, I've had Explorer, Escalade, and VW Touareg(spell?) in the past. So so far my option is:

-Lexus RX350 or 450h
-BMW X5
-Mercedes M-class

Let me know which one you will pick and why (pro and con)? I like the exterior styling of the Mercedes, but Lexus seems more reliable and high tech.....
I think they are about the same price range? Anyway, I'll appreciate your input!!

Oh, and if you like something else (have to be SUV), please tell me what and why too!

Lexus RX 350 or 450h

I have a Lexus RX and I LOVE it...

I think with Lexus you get way more bang for your buck

I like the Porsche cayenne, but out of the list, BMW x5 all the way. My mom has had both, and she says she prefers the x5, even though I like the look of the cayenne a lot more!

I hear a lot of people have troubles with BMW, can anyone confirm? I don't want to visit the dealership for repair all the time.....

We had the M-Class for awhile, it was very nice and had no issues for the 2 years we had it... Dunno about long term reliability.

A few of my friends with BMWs complain about this - specifically windows and sun roofs that stop working, and A/C going kaput... but those were on 3 series.

Love my RR sport, smooth ride, handles well in all weather, quiet, and very rarely has a problem. A few of my friends have LR3s and they liked them initially but once they put more than 25,000 miles on them they started rattling and making all kinds of noise.

I'm in the market too... considering the RR Sport, the LR3, the BMW X5, the Mercedes M class. Ugh... I hate looking at cars.

^^Go with the RR sport, it's great (I actually like it more than the "regular" RR I had) and has practically no issues. I like the look of the LR3 and maybe it is just a fluke or something but any one that I have ever been in is so noisy.

Porsche Cayenne! (S or up, not the 6 cylinder - ugh)...but I'm biased :)

The infiniti QX56 is really nice too (we just bought one), but it is HUGE...I used to have an escalade as well, and the QX feel much larger. The infiniti fx35 (i think) is really nice too...and smaller :)

If I had to pick from your options id prob go with the M class and then the Lexus. But I'd also like to throw some other options into the mix - what about an Audi Q5 or Q7? You said you owned a toaureg so I will not suggest a Cayenne unless you want to go with something quite similar to it. Also RR or LR might be other ones you might wanna check out. Good luck! It can be so hard narrowing your choice down sometimes!

My husband has an X5 and it's a great car. He needs it for his business to transport large signs, medical machines, etc... Good with the car seats too for the kids. I don't like to drive it though because it's too big. Don't like SUVs in general...
