Neither of the listed!

I'd go for the Lincoln MKX

1)for the price (yes the price),

2)the long run maintenance investment (wayyyy less expensive when replacing parts for a domestic car then a foreign car; not to mention the price is the wait time; hey time is money too)

3)& especially the SYNC (most especially the SYNC system)!

Owning a SYNC is a very fantabulous experience... and no, there are no monthly fee for SYNC (its standard feature for Mercury & Lincoln, you have to pay I think if you buy ford for the upgrade). Its great when you see other people talking on the phone when driving or wearing that geeky looking headset... when you don't have to... its just as easy to set it up as it is to use it.

SYNC does not require any of those; yes its hands free PLUS you can play your MP3 (iphones and what not) through it with just a voice command "USB" then "Play artist XXX" or "Play genre dance" etc... Oh and get your weather/traffic/navigation (yes, turn by turn spoken back to you with the right software) so you do not have to "look it up". PLUS it does read your text messages back to you and send text to someone with the SYNC "dial-to-do" feature; yes e-mails as well.

Here's a video of what SYNC is almost today, a few more steps, we'll have it exactly like in the video:

Yes I worship SYNC as I am using it now (those with SYNC will probably give me that 'knowing look" too).

Oh and I forgot something new about the MKX...
Lincoln dealership can program the door to recognize the owner by unlocking the door he/she is closest to (eg. if you are putting grocery into the passenger door, the door will unlock the passenger door, and when you go around to the driver door, it will automatically unlock the drivers' door; something about safety feature & convenience for women especially when a woman is walking to her car at night).

Latest technology, just look to FORD/MERCURY/LINCOLN!

P.S. No I am not a sales person for FORD/MERCURY/LINCOLN but am an avid fan after owning 3 of their cars FORD/MERCURY/LINCOLN (yes and they won more awards than any car brands this year, I am so proud of them being an American brand too!)... they ROCK!.

I don't want to get a big SUV, I'm just going to drive around my baby and we have Lexus GX which serve a big SUV purpose when we need it....and RR sport from $67k is a bit too expensive for me. It sure looks nice though!

I have a friend with an Escalade and a friend with a Cadillac sedan, both have had MAJOR issues since they bought them and they are both in the process of trading them. The guy with the Escalade is going to get a Yukon (which I have an I'm partial too, hehe) and the girl with the sedan is not sure yet. Just fyi....might want to read reviews. Hubby has Range Rover Sport, which I'm not a fan of (it's just uncomfortable and small) but he loves. I keep trying to get him to get a Yukon like me!

Audi Q7 is too big for me, Q5 may work I might go take a look at it.
Yeah, Touareg and Cayenne has a same platform so it's no fun for me! Besides, I don't want to spend that much on Cayenne.....

The infiniti QX56 is really nice too (we just bought one), but it is HUGE...I used to have an escalade as well, and the QX feel much larger. The infiniti fx35 (i think) is really nice too...and smaller :)
Infiniti doesn't work for me at this time, since QX56 is too big and FX is too small....I'm looking for something in the middle.

I'd pick a hybrid. Either the Lexus or the Toyota Highlander.

I voted for the ML by accident, I meant to click X5. I love BMW and I think that car is beautiful! My second choice is the RX. I used to have it and I loved it

I'd pick the Lexus due to the Hybrid...

However, when we saw a demonstration of all the safety features and comfort features of the Mercedes SUV... WOW, we were blown away. This was a few years ago when it was powered by Diesel. Not sure what they are using now.

LOVED my ML when I had it, would love a GL but it's not big enough.
I have a GMC Yukon XL Denali now and hate it. . . . very few options for me since I need a boat

I agree on the new Lincoln MKX, make sure you check it out!

I LOVE the Mercedes M-class. I had one as a rental once and it was the nicest car I ever drove. Besides having all the typical Mercedes amenities, I liked that it handled more like a sedan than a typical SUV.

Thanks guys!

I test drove all 3 cars on Saturday. First I went to Mercedes dealership, dealership was dead...and looked less luxurious. Anyway I wasn't impressed with the interior of the ML350, it looks ok but not special....you can get the same kind of interior from buying Mazda. Drivability was so so....slow acceleration, stiff handling, and not so smooth riding.

Then I went to BMW dealership, the place was packed! Hello? I thought we are in depression, esp. where I'm at in Detroit suburbs! Anyway the interior of the X5 is nice, very classy with fantastic panoramic sunroof, it drove like a dream. I felt like I was driving a nice sedan, not SUV. I liked it! But they are in the middle of switching from 09 to 10 model, so they didn't have much inventory. I have to wait a while to get what I want which is a problem since I need to buy a car this week.

Last but not least, I went to the Lexus dealership. I've been there several times since we have GX, but dealership is one of the best I've ever been. The interior finish and technologies of RX350 blew me away. It is just so beautiful, and lots of nice easy to use technologies packed in there. I test drove RX350, drive is very smooth and nice, good acceleration.....of course not as good as BMW, but good enough for me and my baby! I also tried RX450h (hybrid), acceleration is much slower than regular model and felt less power....which I don't care for.

Anyway, I will probably go for Lexus RX350, overall it is a better fit for me and it's $10K cheaper than BMW.

Thanks for the recommendation! I just don't care for the American Cars when it comes to SUV much. I had a For Explorer and Cadillac Escalade, and they are O.K., but the interior finish and reliability is not in a same league with Japanese or German cars IMHO. However, MKX looks pretty nice and seems like a great choice for a lot of people!

I pretty much made up my mind for Lexus, and RX350 does have very similar technologies to SYNC!

Someone that I work with drives the Lexus and he absolutely loves it! I hear that they're very reliable, as well. Plus they look pretty snazzy.
