Me too. No matter how bad I'm feeling, my little girl looks at me with her brown eyes... Our pets, they literally just want to love and please us and when I'm sad, she knows it and usually does her best to change it whether I like it or not. lol

There are a lot of things I do when I feel down: I read a good book, go for a walk, hit the gym. Yoga is a great stress reliever.

Sometimes just vegging out in front of the TV or browsing online helps..gets my mind off my troubles. I also call friends and family when things aren't going well. I can count on them to listen without judging.

I also find volunteer work helps. I volunteer at an animal shelter and it always makes me feel better when I help make an abandoned animal more adoptable! It's hard for me to leave there in a sad/bad mood, because I know I've done something good for them!

sitting out in the sun but really, shopping. I've noticed it more and more that when I am unhappy and depressed, I feel so much better just to even be thinking about shopping. Doesn't have to be Saks or anything special. Can be just a trip to Big Lots. It just takes my mind off of things.

Road trips. Driving through the countryside always makes me feel better.

Making plans with friends, playing with my dog, pampering/shopping (only if I'm not depressed about money!), watching good TV/Movies, cooking a delicious new meal, focusing on the good things I've accomplished and my positive qualities...

When I 1st came to this country (many yrs ago), I was severely depressed. I laid in bed and watched TV most of the time, even though I didn't understand much of what was said, it was an escape from reality. Only time made that bout go away (about 6 years).

Nowadays, when I feel blue, I play in the internet, maybe watch a sitcom (I have to be careful with the TV or it goes into the 'too much' category rather quickly)
