I like to wait until after Thanksgiving... but I love Christmas so much that it's usually the day after!

This is frustrating! I wish they'd wait until after Halloween, at least. I went to Target a couple days before Halloween hoping to get some Halloween houseware items (including a mug I wanted to give our cake decorator as part of his gift... we got married on Halloween) and all of that kind of fall stuff was already gone and Christmas/winter stuff was in its place!

Me too, but I force myself to wait for the day after Thanksgiving. I'm also big into watching Christmas sitcom episodes while I bake and decorate. The shows 'Friends' & 'Golden Girls' especially..........

I hold out for as long as possible. Usually until mid-December if I can manage it. I do like having my tree up when it's there, but I just find that Christmas seems to come round quicker and quicker nowadays. LOL! I must being getting old!
I use tree decorations that we've had for eons and every year I try to buy a couple of nice new ones with the result that our tree gets nearly full to bursting point - it actually tipped over one year!

The nice thing is that my DS really has a thing about the nativity set and sees it as 'his' responsibility to set it up. That's my favourite bit about the decorating tbh - his enthusiasm knows no bounds.

As a family, we've always done ours Thanksgiving evening. Everyone is there and it is a great time to be festive and enjoy being with family.

At my home, I put mine up sometime in early November. That's when all the winter decorations go out.

I usually decorate the day after Thanksgiving. Then the day after Christmas I get the blues and want it all down.

When do I start? Never. Working in retail for years killed my holiday spirit.
