Thanksgiving here is in October so that is way too early.

I don't have a set time for putting things up. Just depends on what else is going on and how much company I am having in December

How do you guys get your trees to last so long? If I put it up in Nov it looks dead by Dec. :( I usually buy it around Dec. 13 to avoid this... but if I can have one earlier I'm all for it.

My tree/decorations always goes up the last Saturday in November, and comes down on December 26th.

We usually do ours Thanksgiving evening as a family. If we're too full or there's a really good game on, we wait to the next night. My Mom insists that the family is together to trim the tree.

We put ours up the weekend after Thanksgiving and take it down just before New Year's.
I love to go out and shop and come home and put the wrapped gifts under the tree. I just love Christmas, especially the tree.

Wow, decorations up already? Yeah, that seems kind of early for me too. Our decorations go up the day after Thanksgiving and comes down the day after New Years.

But, I was walking around Target today, scooping up all the Fall and Halloween decorations (that are now 50% off ), and all the Christmas decorations were out and I just wanted to buy them all up! There was so many cute cute stuff, it definately made me want to get in the Christmas spirit!

We use a fake tree at our house, it's already pre-lit too, and we just burn pine scented candles.

Fake tree here too.
They look amazingly real these days!

What's good is if we end up taking off somewhere for a day or two during the holidays, we don't have to worry about the tree drying up.

We're fake tree folks too. After Christmas, you can buy one for almost nothing. Our prelit 9 ft tree retailed for $300 was marked down 85% plus an additional half off.

We get our tree the day after Thanksgiving and gradually decorate over the next week. The longer we get to enjoy the decorations, the better! I LOVE the holidays!
