I don't really buy designer goods anymore... so I will base my answers on the reasoning I had before..

Design, Quality, the fact they tend to be less carried in some cases than other brands.

Shoes (Premier), Scarves (Premier) and Contemporary line clothes if those count.

I liked what they offered. I find I'm all over the place so there's no real brand loyalty (though I do have general favourites.)

Department stores, online, or brand flagships when available, as well as close-outs like Winners.

6. If not, why? (e.g. price, too flashy, prefer high street etc.)
Well - most of the stuff I wear is high-street. Primarily price issues, I guess but because I balk at the price of some jersey dresses, for instance.

7. Have you ever bought something you could not afford?
No. I've had things bought as gifts that I definitely couldn't have afforded at the time/age, though.

8. If you had more money would you feel more inclined to buy these items?
I don't know. I might buy more shoes but I don't feel any real desire to splurge on a watch or VC&A or Tiffany & Co jewellrey - I'm perfectly okay with going to a trusted jeweller and getting something one-of-a-kind with better clarity as opposed to the Little Blue Box experience, for example (though I do like the Paloma silver jug pendants.)

original maker. why buy an imitation when you can get the original
4. quality---one purse can last decades without going out of style

looks sexy
5. to impress others ---this is just a bonus, I buy for me and am happy when
others appreciate what I have
