LOL!! What a visual that would be!

When you look inside my minivan, it doesn't look too cluttered. Because my vehicle is HUGE, I have a decent amount of stuff in it:

box of tissue
baby wipes
double stroller (this takes up a lot of room)
baby bag
emergency roadside kit
umbrellas
zip lock bags (in case I need to change a poopy diaper while out and about)
car seats
plastic bag to catch trash

I think I've got an umbrealla...I've def got a blanket and an ice scrapper in there too oh, and jumper cables (although I wouldn't know how to use them!) a spare tire and I *think* the tools to use them, again, not like I would know lol...but I've also got about 30 CDs and 10-15 books/textbooks and a pair of red heels that have been there since valentines day (I switched at the last second for black heels instead lol)...and I'm sure a whole bunch of other crap. Oh, and a lint roller! My trunk/car is just full of crap lol

Lorenzo, zip lock bags are a great idea for the nasty diapers when out! When I bring my 1 year old niece out and I have to change a diaper I have always just put the thing on the floor next to the diaper bag. There was one time where I left it on the back bumper and I got pulled over when leaving the parking lot. Thankfully I did not get a ticket.

Most of it isn't out of necessity or safety, but out of laziness and my general slobby nature. Currently I have a set of hand trucks back there, but just because I don't want to haul it up the stairs and it's a convenient reason to not have to drive when my friends and I go someplace in a group. The only stuff that I intentionally keep around are some tools, a safety kit that my mom gave me for Christmas one year (she thinks she's funny!), some change for parking meters and a few stray dollars bills. I try to keep an umbrella back there, but I've got a very compact one that I keep in my purse too.

Oh, actually, I keep a laundry basket back there. I have an SUV, and if I go to the grocery store or Target, everything inevitably slides around in the back and falls out of the bags. I bought a cheap laundry basket and I put all of my grocery bags in there, and then I can just pick up the entire thing and carry it inside when I get home so I don't have to make a lot of trips. Then I just take it back out the next time I go.
Thats a really good idea-I think I may try that!

Jumper cables, flashlight, latex gloves, pliers, a road flare and a wrench and some sockets. All in a bag that stays tucked along the side of my trunk.

Also a stroller, a kite and a few plastic buckets and plastic shovels....for my nephew.

Oh and two tennis rackets and three tennis balls, in case a random pick up game of tennis should occur. Haha! jk!

Modern simplicity, bare necessities.

Don need any "emergency" supplies other than my cell to call them...

cell charger, jumper cable, blanket, pair of juicy sweats for myself, pair of sweats for my son. Havianas for the random pedicure, toilet paper, few bottles of water, first aid kit, ipod charger, and spare tire and other tire changing parts, engine oil.

I've stopped on a freeway before in dead cold weather and it was HELL waiting for the tow truck. So basically we would starve but be warm and hydrated
