First aid kit, tool box (my husband didn't feel that the tools that came with the vehicle were sufficent enough), a blanket, wind-up flashlight, jumper cables, spare tire (and everything to change the tire), air hose (for the air compressor that is built into my car) gloves...I'm sure there are other things that my husband has crammed into the little hidden compartments, that I probably won't ever look at.

Suprisingly I have nothing in my trunk of either Suvs right now. However if you were to look in all the little compartments of my Explorer you would find a bunch of stuff. I have this little compartment behind the third row where the tire iron/jack is kept hidden behind a little wall, infront of that wall I keep all my car was supplies. Then in the little side basket in the third row I have a screw driver, some shopping bags and a flashlight. The center console has like 10 packs of gum, a couple granola bars, perfume, tissues, and hand sanitizer. I usually throw all my garbage into the bottle holder on the driver door and clean it out when I get gas every week. I also keep an umbrella under my second row of seats.
For air fresheners I always use those little christmas tree ones from Target. Black Ice is the only scent I use. |

I have a trunk organizer that has my jumper cables, Fix A Flat, and a funnel in it. I keep an umbrella in the backseat alone with a towel. You never know when your going to be soaked from the rain and don't want to get your seat all wet.

In the glovebox I have the owners' manual, a packet of paperwork (registration, insurance info, dealer info, etc.) and a pen. In the console compartment I have sunglasses, some napkins and a bottle of Excedrin.
In the trunk there's a cd changer (which is weid, because it was factory installed and there's one in the dash too), booster cables and a compartment underneath with a spare tire, a jack and a wrench. I also have a thing with a few cds in it that I keep in the driver's side door pocket. That is all I keep in my car. I'm extremely anal about keeping the car need and tidy. |

Heh, what DON'T I have in my car?
Most of it isn't out of necessity or safety, but out of laziness and my general slobby nature. Currently I have a set of hand trucks back there, but just because I don't want to haul it up the stairs and it's a convenient reason to not have to drive when my friends and I go someplace in a group. The only stuff that I intentionally keep around are some tools, a safety kit that my mom gave me for Christmas one year (she thinks she's funny!), some change for parking meters and a few stray dollars bills. I try to keep an umbrella back there, but I've got a very compact one that I keep in my purse too. Oh, actually, I keep a laundry basket back there. I have an SUV, and if I go to the grocery store or Target, everything inevitably slides around in the back and falls out of the bags. I bought a cheap laundry basket and I put all of my grocery bags in there, and then I can just pick up the entire thing and carry it inside when I get home so I don't have to make a lot of trips. Then I just take it back out the next time I go. |

Main glove compartment consists of CDs and receipts. Second glove compartment has a garage opener, center console has an iPod adapter and tissues. The trunk has has the spare tire I suppose and a textbook with a notebook because I'm done with summer session so I just tossed the book in there and am never seeing it until I sell it. I don't like clutter so even water bottles are inside the glove compartment.

Finally took it out today. In the front, I keep a roll of paper towel, spare glasses, pen and paper in case of an accident and a charger for my cell phone. In the trunk, I have some walking shoes, a first aid kit, flashlight, easy flare (rotating lights for accidents) and some canvas grocery bags. |
