Ex-boyfriends and parking tickets.

j/k.

I have a huge weakness for Jcrew cardigans, MAC makeup, jackets (mostly leather) and any and all BOOTS.

I actually need to stop with all these things, I have enough to go on for years!

I did not think I was a collector of anything but I guess it would have to be semi-precious gemstones.

I like to collect:
- foreign currency, I don't have a real collection, just like to keep a paper bill or two from different countries.
- paintings from our travels, usually bought from local street artists
- I like baseball caps. I don't wear them all the time but like to use them when I'm out in the sun for long periods of time.
- cashmere sweaters. I like that they're much more affordable now.
- and books, I have a fear that I'll never have enough books to read, so I'm always buying them.

I like vintage dishes and furniture. I have a collection of depression glass (blue bubble pattern) and other odds and ends from the 1930's, including a china set.

With furniture, it has a lot more character than stuff in stores today. My furniture is a mix of antiques and current items.

I like lots of books too and seeing them lined up on shelves. Plus, I am a huge reader.

Ditto, but I really only collect the coins. I prefer to collect them myself, but I won't stop someone if they bring it back for me, if I've never been to that particular country :)

I realized that almost everything I collect is pretty era-specific to the 1930s-1950s. I'm a whore for vintage, what can I say?

- Vintage cookbooks
- Vintage women's clothing & accessories
- Bakelite and WWII sweetheart jewelry
- Women's WWII US military uniforms

Regarding the uniforms, I have a museum-quality collection featuring every branch of service except Coast Guard & Marine Corps (one day!) I'm not trying to brag and I know most ladies here probably could give a flip about this, but it is something I am proud of, because there aren't a lot of people who own as much stuff as I do, and it has taken years of scouring to find some of the pieces. LOL. It is definitely a unique niche.

My husband and I also collect white ironstone and restaurantware.

Corks. I have whoever I shared the bottle with write their name and the date on the bottom. I keep them in a fishbowl.

I also used to collect Coca-Cola memorabilia.

I also have a growing apple collection (anything and everything with apples on it) -- I'm going to be a teacher

I collect colored gemstones - mostly loose facedted stones but some already set in jewelry. I usually but setting too and just set my own. So basically I have my own custom jewelry collection and it wasn't too expensive.

steeply marked down beautiful clothing and accessories, both new and vintage. i can't walk past an amazing deal, even if it's not my style. i will buy it, take photos of it for my sake, and then resell it later when i can manage to part with it.

I don't collect a lot of things besides handbags.

Some stuff I do collect are philosophy books (anything from the ancient Greeks to late 20th Century - I was a philosophy grad), graphic novels and anime dvds.

I'm verrrrrrrrrrrry slowly collecting Lladro pieces (hand painted Spanish porcelain pieces)! I bought my first in Spain, an airplane Christmas ornament (my dad flies, and it was my first time overseas and without family)! I received a ballerina one year and when I graduated college my parents found a retired piece I was dying for... the milennium edition milky way figurine!!! www.lladro.com if you've never heard of them! They are expensive though so I only have a few; they mean so much to me though! The last pic is the next piece I realllllllllly want (maybe when I get my master's degree!!) I teach and studied science so it's perfect for me!

No picture of the airplane ornament

Pic 1 - Ballerina "Debut"

Pic 2 - "Milky Way" (sort of a side view)

Pic 3 - "Scientia"
