Dave Sedaris rocks! I 'bout peed myself laughing at parts of MTPOD.
Have you read "Survivor?" Once you have, nothing of his compares...unfortunately.

Just finished my first Janet Evanovich/Stephanie Plum novel (#4). Although it was pretty light on the mystery (you can easily figure out who dunnit), I totally agree w/ others about laughing out loud!! The author has a great dry sense of humor.

I'll throw in my opinion on David Sedari MTPOD - I didn't like it at all. I don't remember laughing at anything, just feeling like this guy was a total loser. It must have been a type of humor that I didn't get b/c I know it got good reviews (which is why I bought it).

Currently reading "The Huntress" by Susan Carroll. It's historical fiction romance. Easy reading for me.

The Purpose Drive Life. You should really pick it up! It's an insightful book, really changed the way I saw things.

Oh how do you like it so far, Jan? I picked up a copy last summer and honestly have not started it yet, boo hoo! A good GF of mine couldn't stop raving about it.

_ I was so mesmerized by "Into Thin Air", I read the entire book in one sitting! I couldn't put it down.

That was a good book! I like reading these horrific adventure stories - I use them to justify my existence as a couch potato. Much safer - hee!

Since it seems I have more time for reading these days . . .

Right now I'm reading Slash by Slash with Anthony Bozza.

After that, it'll be Make Him Look Good by Alisa Valdes-Rodriguez.

madamefifi and pursegrrl, these sound really interesting. Is Miracle the story that "Alive" (the film) is based on? What's the writing like?
