I just read Another Day in the Frontal Lobe by Katrina Firlik. Firlik was one of the first woman neurosurgeons to be admitted in University of Pittsburgh's residency program. It described her residency and neurosurgery in an engaging manner. It was quite an interesting read. |

The Second Assistant by Clare Naylor and Mimi Hare...very funny book. As soon as I am finished with it...I'll start on the second book..."First Assistant"
I've read the Sophie Kinsella's Shopaholic series....very funny and because I can relate. Read the Devil Wears Prada....love the book more ....movie was good, but the book was way better. |

Cane River by Lalita Tademy. It's an intriguing tale of four generations of African-American women of Cane River (Natchitoches Parish, LA). I think Oprah's Book Club read this a while back. It was suggested to me by one of my best friends and I plan to finish the book in a couple of days.
