I know! That's why i picked it up - I thought it was this cult classic but it's terrible terrible writing. And it just doesn't make any sense; there's no structure and the characters are really strange. There's a lot of pointless dialogue too.

Oh, wait - I just realised that I have Petals in the Wind, which is the sequel. Maybe I'm reading the wrong on LOL - I'm sure the first one is a masterpiece

How's Kerry Packer's biog? I read Kevin Rudd's last year (the authorised one, I think)... it was ok, but very straight up and down.

I read it a few years ago. It was an interesting story, and well written. Not my favorite book, though.

I've just started Femme Fatale about the life of Mata Hari.

How is the The Other Boleyn Girl? Im reading that soon.

I just finished The Memory Keepers Daughter. It was ok, I like Middlesex better, which was the book I read right before it.

I love the Life of Pi.

^^ I liked it a lot. The style is quite simple, not overly fussy. And the story is so interesting and very well researched.
