All The Pretty Horses - Cormac McCarthy.

I admire his main character and the authentic, distinct dialogue. He is really good at original descriptions and his prose are 100% free of cliche, but I won't lie and say its exactly easy to get through. The sort of floating, observational devices of some passages make it a tad hard to follow at times. But in the end the story moves, which is not something I can say for various McCarthy imitators that I have read.. *groan*

He really, really, really likes the run on sentence though. Wow.. is The Road like this too?

I loved The Stand! It seems like such a long book, but once you get started it goes pretty fast.

I am trying to catch up on the Mary HIggins Clark books I haven't read. I am currently reading Nighttime Is My Time.

rereading an ooold book by sandra brown called "the switch". she's such a prolific writer, with excellent and witty dialogue to boot. "mirror image" is one of my faves from her.

Still in the middle of in cold blood--Haven't touched it since school let out. I took a break and read some quick corny love stories by Nora Roberts (unfinished business and mind over matter)

Plan on re-reading the time traveler's wife to prep myself for the movie, and I also want to read The Gernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society.... Confessions of a Shopaholic is also waiting to be read... House of Leaves needs to be finished as well.

For some reason I just can't get into the last--I heard such rave reviews about it and I can't just sit and read it for more than 20 minutes...

I'm currently reading The Scarecrow by Michael Connelly...a quite intriguing, yet somewhat non-thinking read.
