The Host was very difficult to get into for me. My son recommended it to me and I remember after the 12 chapter saying I just didn't get it. He just kept saying "you will". I think it was shortly after that when it started to get interesting.

Wow! Even if the books are used, but hardcover at this price - that's what I call a bargain.

In Defense of Food by Michael Pollan; Deluxe: How Luxury Lost Its Luster; and Factory Girls. I like non-fiction.

I'm reading another of Jen Lancaster's books which make me laugh out loud...this one is called "Such a Pretty Fat-or Why Pie is Not the Answer". Her books are hysterical starting with "Bitter is the New Black", followed by "Bright Lights, Big Ass". Check them out!

^i've considered them before, i saw them at costco

had 'deadwood' by pete dexter on my shelf for two years. love the show, love that specific era in history, and i love good historical fiction. i thought it was non-fiction, since it has so many real characters and events, but turns out it's fiction. it's different than the show but it is SOOOO GOOD

best thing i've read in a long, long while

I just finished reading the first 7 Sookie Stackhouse books and I must say that I really enjoyed them. I need to order the next 2.
