The Motherhood Manifesto: What America's Moms Want - And What to Do About It by Joan Blades and Kristin Rowe-Finkbeiner. Very interesting read comparing America to other countries.

Same thing goes for Anna Karenina.
That is the big problem with all Russian authors; characters sometimes have two or three different names and it is never explained whose name it is. I tried to read "Anna Karenina" once and although I made a list of the people in the story and all their names I gave up!

The Mill on the Floss, George Eliot. She is truly one of my favorite authors.

Yeah, they have pet names in English or French and then they also use their first names and middle names and surnames... It does get pretty confusing. Luckily, in my edition of Anna Karenina there's a list of all the characters and short introduction to each. It's pretty helpful.

my mom brought me the most hilarious book today called the dangerous book for dogs. it's a parody of those dangerous book for boys/daring book for girls.....there's whole chapters on poop, getting out of degrading costumes, and how to become a shoe connoisseur just to give you an idea. i haven't laughed so hard at a book in a while.

i was in the middle of the audacity of hope by barak obama but then DH absconded it. which i'm actually ok with....anything to get him involved in politics is fine by me!

I'm reading "Mansfield park" by Jane Austen at the moment and I'm going to start in "die leiden des jungen Werther" by Goethe tomorrow.

Quick train read for me today: Letter to a Christian Nation. The arguments definitely have their flaws but overall, a good, brief read.

It's been sitting on my nightstand for the past week. I've been so busy searching for a new job, I haven't had a chance to start reading it. But I really want to read it and finish it by this summer, because the movie is coming out this year. It's starring Eric Bana and Rachel McAdams.
I've been wanting to read this! But I hate when they make books into movies =(

Good for you I'm rereading Animal Farm right now, just because my boss said the "all animals are equal but some are more equal than others" quote the other day. Made me crack up in the middle of the meeting!
