Thumbs down Verizon Says I Missed Paying My Bill But.....

Of course I have the credit card statement showing I paid so now I have to go to the Verizon store and show them they messed up and to remove the $5 late fee. What's most ironic is that I paid my bill in person and they still messed up!!!!!!! Anyone else?

So after showing them the proof that I paid they adjusted the bill. It took over 20 minutes and lots of paper work. As I was leaving I said the new Iphone sure looks tempting over at AT&T....................at that point they said they would pay this month's bill for me ($85).....so I let them!

I'm having the same problem with AT&T - I do billpay through my bank. My bank mailed the check on 6/20, the bill was due on 6/25, today I check and my balance is showing past due.

Luckily my bank guarantees that the bill will get paid on time if I schedule it to be, so I put in a payment inquiry and am going to let them handle it.

Always pay my bills online in advance -- but whenever I've forgotten or something, I just call up customer service and they usually waive the charge. (Of course, I'm talking mostly about AmEx and not Verizon, so your results may be different.)
