Hehe, I know Jeneen!! And the worst part is that ALL of my cousins are Dawgs fans and then of course my family and friends are all Gators fans!! And the game time has already been set for 3:30PM so we are guaranteed to miss pretty much all of it! Oh well. I guess I have other important things to worry about that day

UGA fans - will anyone be at the UGA/Auburn game this year? I might be going and I would love to meet up with some tPF/UGA fans! I might also be going to the Auburn/Ole Miss game and the Alabama/Tennesee game, if anyone will be at those...

As you can see from my ticker, I am SO ready for college football season to kick off. I live for Saturdays during these months!

GO SEC!

Is Auburn/UGA in Athens this year? I'm trying to remember, I think it is. If it is, I'll definitely be tailgating in Athens for it, but probably won't be going to the game itself because of different methods for ticketing students this year (the long short of it is, I can't scalp student tickets anymore, boo). But we'll be tailgating on East Campus and then watching the game from downtown, probably Boar's Head on Washington St. or Allgood on Clayton!

^^Auburn/UGA is at Georgia this year.

Amanda, it's OT sort of but I was wondering what the new student ticket method is at Georgia? Auburn's done something new this year too. We have an "Auburn Ignited" card for all athletic events instead of having tickets on our student IDs. Just curious if it's the same system!

Well, from what I understand (since I'm not a student anymore), tickets are now on student IDs that have to be swiped at the entrance to the student section. Until this year, they had just been paper tickets, which were easy to exchange if students didn't want them or couldn't go to a particular game. It also allowed me to buy a set of student tickets from someone that didn't want theirs, since I still had my student ID to show at the gate (student IDs don't have expiration dates here) with the ticket. I've heard something about wristbands to let upperclassment only into the lower level or something, but I'm not sure about it.

Sounds like a clusterf*ck to me, but so has every other way that I've seen UGA do student tickets. They did distribution differently every one of my four years at school and it never worked smoothly or correctly. We have the most profitable athletic department in the entire country, I have no idea why we can't get students their tickets in a timely and efficient manner.

I'd hit it if he'd put a bag on his head, didn't speak, and left afterward.

That sounds like what Auburn had up until this year. But we also have a meal plan on our student IDs and apparently it's become a security concern. There wasn't an issue of still buying someone else's ticket because the card just had to be swiped and the picture wasn't checked, but the concern was the student not getting their card back and the money being spent. I'm not sure what this new system will do to the process of buying someone's ticket, but I know there will be a lot of unhappy students that were unable to get tickets who used to rely on buying someone else's if they can no longer do that. But anyway, just curious! Thanks!

Here's ole' Lou showing his LOVE and BIAS for notre dame AGAIN! Florida and nd in the title game??? Puhhhleez!

Whatever happened to unbiased reporting? It's like Mark Mays and his obvious bias towards USC. Don't get me wrong -- I am a Trojan fan. But these commentators with their obvious bias are over the top!!!

Ugh, Lou Holtz needs to be put out to pasture. He used to purposefully mispronounce the name of one of our quarterbacks a few years ago. Name wasn't hard - DJ Shockley.
