I'm in!

And Candace, I will want to keep in touch with you while deployed (as much as possible, I know it will be difficult). I'll send you homemade stuff.

I am very, very in!

I'll get my 4 year old godkids to make some cards.

And I'll get the cadets at @ West Point involved as much as I can.

I've got a bunch of XMen comics that are taking up room @ my place. They're headed your way, along with some other items on your list, Tink!

This is a fabulous idea!! I'm so in!

I come from a military family background. My grandpa was in the army and my nino was in the air force. My step dad was also in the army (he was an mp) so when i was little i lived in hawaii where he was stationed. I moved alot when i was between the ages of 4-10. Also my ex husband was in the army and i lived on base with him for 3 years...

I have always wanted to do something like this, care packages and such. So i would be more than happy to participate! I think it's a wonderful thing for anyone to give a little of their time to give to someone else. I can just imagine how much joy it must bring. I will have my 7 yr old make some cards as well!

Tink you are doing a wonderful thing!!

The no home made stuff is because we are doing it as a group...so it's anonymous donors to anonymous soldiers...so I understand their rule.

But I think it's a fab idea for soldiers you know...I think Candace will be having plenty of goodies when she goes back :)

Many female soldiers ask for 'anything to help them remember they are female'.
nail polish/remover, color/scented chapstick count?

I bought a ton of stuff at Target today! My mom is going to donate some stuff too! We're going shopping again tomorrow when we both get home from work. I think I'll have some friends at work make some cards and my little niece too, and maybe I can have my mom's class make cards too. (she's a teacher).

Hey Tink, would it be ok if I send more then one package to you? (b/c I don't think all the stuff I bought today will fit with my mom's stuff)

Wow! I am sooo thankful to you all for your kindness. I am in the AF and here in Iraq until next spring. I will be here through the holidays, my first time away from my husband and boys for this long.

My heartfelt thanks to you all for your generosity!!!
