I had my nose pierced when I was 19. I was the weird kid in my family. I had my tongue, my nose, and my belly button (which I still have). I had a little 18g stud in my nose and it was really cute but constantly got infected. I would pull it out in my sleep and forget it was there and scratch my nose. Finally I took it out and now I have a small purple dot on the left side of my nose.

When they pierce it, they will have to put a ring in it for 6 weeks or otherwise you body will shove the stud out and it will get infected.

Ummmmm.......what's a labret? I had my belly done a while back and took it out after a year as it was infected on and off the whole time (didn't help that I kept playing with it). It didn't hurt, but I wouldn't do it again.

As for your nose....if you want it, do it, you can always take it out.

Laberet is soooooooo sexy on guys! Especially the side ones, omg. I've wanted to get that done for years, but since I dance and perform constantly I would either have to always be switching between a retainer or a ring, so maybe once I'm done with dance I'll get it done. But my friend, she's turning 15, she just pierced the side of hers with a safety pin and has to take it out at dance and when she's home. I told her she's an idiot because it could get infected.

I never liked nose piercings, but if you like it, go for it. A girl I dance with has a stud and it looks so good.

This has all so been my concern with nose rings

I never felt like I was one of the girls who could pull off a nose ring, but if you really want to then do it! There is always the risk of infection, but then you can just take it out (may be a small scar though later). Let us know!

there's no backing to a stud. The end of the shaft is wider than the center where it sits in your nose. It's also not long enough to collect boogers because you can still pick them out and torture your boyfriend/husband with them

so not true, it depends on where you go to get it done. I just had mine done and I have a screw stud in there. Also keeping it clean is a MAJOR part in the healing process. I was told this one had to stay in for 2 months, then i could look at changing it.

I wanted one sooo badly a few years ago, and I ended up not taking one. And I don't regret it a bit, I don't even think about it anymore. One of my bffs took one thought and she removed it quickly. Its hard to keep it classy with a nose-piercing.

With a ring/hoop I agree. I also think its all in how you carry yourself. Everyone is different. I also think some people suit and others not. All personally opinion and choice :)

I had a small diamond in my nose for about 10 years. I eventually tired of it and no longer wear it. the hole sealed right up. I say go for it. It was fun while it lasted.

mine was a spiraled wire. it was bent so it sat flat against the inside of my nose. they put it in like a corkscrew so no, there is no stud backing needed.
