^^^Good...I hope Aaron Rodgers shows him up. I really really do. I think that is awful....Favre is basically stealing that kid's dream. I can't imagine being the starting QB....your dream...you've worked your whole life....and then Favre comes back and can just steal it from you? So wrong. On so many levels. UGH!

exactly. Plus Favre can be a little inconsistent, remember how bad he was in the season before? and then he had a good season and retired, and he should have stayed retired. what if he does a bad season again? is he gonna wanna retire like that? he should just end it on a high. go coach a high school team or something if he really wants to play that bad.

like I said, the Packers decided to move on when he retired and Favre should just move on too.

Looks like both Favre & the Packers organization realize parting ways is for the best. I have lived in WI all my life and from the time I was old enough to understand the game, Brett Favre and the Packers have been synonymous. Seeing this "retirement" push and pull the past few years has been rough. But like most people I just want a resolution. He should have stayed retired IMHO and let the organization move on. This attempt to comeback is unfair to the fans, the organization, Rodgers, and Favre himself - he's tarnishing his legacy.

The Jets are going to go 6-10 at best. Some ESPN dude apparently called 11-5 but there is NO way. They're just not that good.

I personally have always been a Favre and Green Bay fan for many years.

But this whole drama has put a bitter taste in my mouth. I am saddened that Brett will no longer be with the Packers.

Here's to hoping that Green Bay pays for this! GO JETS!

He's made a big mistake, IMO. He really should have stayed retired. Sorry if this offends any Packers fans or Favre fans, but I think he should have retired a few years ago. He's not getting any younger and football is a physically demanding sport. Besides, Favre has already won a Super Bowl and has accomplished a lot in his career. There's no doubt in my mind that he will be inducted into the Hall of Fame someday, so I don't understand why he's doing all this. He's just tarnishing his legacy.

completely agreed. retirement of such a sports legend is sad. that's why it absolutely MUST be a clean break, period. make the decision, leave on a high note (which he did), and let your legacy be. let your team honor that legacy and move on with new people. trying to step back in because of regret and sparking this drama that ends with him playing his last years at some OTHER team???? that's just wrong... i can believe he had second thoughts about retirement, but that's natural. every retired player is going to want to play again, but that's something he has to learn to deal with in another way. not literally try to PLAY AGAIN... ahhhh.

at least he didn't behave like barry bonds. REFUSE to retire, even after major, major scandal, then end up not playing for the team that you've been with for decades....

i don't know anything about the rumors prior to favre's retirement, but my guess would be that he would have not come out of retirement if he knew it would end up in this drama and he'd end up on a team where he's not the beloved, long standing QB1....

Oh Favre. I wish you would have stayed retired. I love you and the Packers and would always watch you with my dad playing for them and seeing you playing for them just isn't the same. I will still root for the Packers (and the Ravens) but I cannot embrace you with the Jets.

And this raises another question: What will happen to Chad Pennington now that Brett is a Jet (hee hee)? I think the Jets should keep him, but they're not going to want to pay another contract. But if Favre gets hurt or retires in a few years? The Jets are screwed!

(P.S.-- I'm not a football fan at all, but my mom is obsessed w/the Jets, so I go with her reasoning)

I heard Pennington will be traded or released this week and their other backup scrub will be kept as a backup scrub.
