Red face Isn't life just awesome?
My kids and DH are healthy and happy - as am I. I'm not quite sure how many "I love you"s I hear, or kisses and hugs I receive every day, but it's a lot. I also think that I may very well have the cutest dog in the entire world. How lucky am I!

We have all the normal issues everyone else has...bills, business to tend to, floors to sweep, appointments to keep, obligations we'd rather not have. But you know - when you think about it, none of those things really even matter.

Who knows what life holds in the future. What I do know is that right now, on this day - life is good. And no matter what happens on any tomorrow, at the risk of sounding cliche...nothing can take away this soon-to-be memory of this blissfully mundane, thrillingly normal day.

Ok, I'll stop being all wierd and sappy. I'm just feeling grateful and wanted to share Wishing you all an incredible day!

You're very lucky, and it's good to see someone appreciating what they have.

Great outlook! I love the positivity!

I too can appreciate that I can sit back and say, "Yes! I love my life! I have an awesome husband that I love being around, 2 sweetheart furbabies, loving and supportive families and a roof over our heads!" Every day is a gift.

I hope the rest of this day (and the days following) are wonderful, ladies!

OP - what a great post! And your dog would give my mangy mutt a run for his money for "cutest dog in the world." LOL.

It's so true -- we often lose perspective and get stressed out about the little things. Yes, we could stand to have a bigger cushion in the bank so bill-paying time isn't so stressful, and I often feel pulled in a million different directions with work, kids' school, and family/social commitments. But at the end of the day, these are nothing compared to our family's health and well-being. We are blessed to have both (knock on wood!).

When I need perspective, I just think about my mom, who is debilitated with a serious chronic illiness, needs 24 hour care, and lives in another country where we can actually afford to pay for her care. She is hundreds of thousands of miles away, and I cannot bear the thought of her loneliness. We just try to stay in touch, visit when we can, and call often. It's a reminder that anything can happen, and to enjoy everyday life to the fullest because we just don't know what the future holds.

I believe we only get one crack at this, so enjoy it. Yep, life is good. Besides, the alternative sucks.
OP, Cassidy's a cutie. I love that pic, it made me smile too.

OP, thank you for starting this thread. It's amazing how easy it is to be oblivious to all the wonderful people and things we have in our lives. Instead of looking at the positives in life, people tend to focus so much energy on trying to 'fix things that need to be fixed'. Sometimes it really is necessary to take a step back and just appreciate all the wonderful things in life.

Hugs to you and have an awesome day!
