Wow, interesting. I can't believe that with all the shipping/handling/duties/customs clearing and all that it is economical that way?

You know what I was really surprised to discover? A lot of MAC makeup (OK, specifically a lot of the blushes I've collected recently) are Made In Italy!

It just seems like there were people who know their thing, who are skilled when it comes to making items when made in countries like France and Italy. They have a whole image that depends on that.

I think it's because we think of workers in horrible conditions in China why we are so anti-Made in China. Perhaps if they boosted up the conditions, and produced non lethal quality goods, we'd change our minds.

But that doesn't seem like it'd happen because why'd they move in the first place. Such a shame really. :/ What will happen to all those Italians who used to work in those factories? It'll be like here in the US where all the jobs are overseas now.

I also too find some joy in finding a product not made in China or Turkey. Maybe because it's like a needle in a haystack sorta find.

It is a very common sight these days that all the sports line of these exclusive designers have the label "made in China, Vietnam and other countries" but Italy.
