NY to CA is 5 business days, via ground UPS. If it left today at 8 tonight they won't count today...it won't arrive until next Friday (1 week from tomorrow.)

So sorry ... but definitely not. Ground shipping will take about 5 days, probably closer to 7 days.

UPS.com is usually really good with updating the tracking info, moreso than USPS or dhl.

Sometimes UPS keeps a package on a truck or in a local distribution hub in order to deliver them on the scheduled delivery date stated on the website.

I had this experience with an order coming via UPS Ground...it showed the package arrived in my local UPS hub 2 days before it was supposed to be delivered...I called UPS and the hub to ask if I could pick it up from the hub that day (about 25 min. from my house) and they said no, the package would be held at the hub until the scheduled delivery date.

If you REALLY NEED the shoes before Saturday, are you able to order another pair from the store and pay for expedited shipping just to guarantee you'll have them? Then can you return the ones coming via UPS Ground?

I know it's a pain to do but at least you'll be guaranteed to have them definitely before Saturday.

Good luck!

ETA: ooops, I thought you needed the shoes by NEXT Saturday, not this one. Only FedEx or UPS overnight or 2 day delivery for Saturday delivery would have gotten the shoes to you in this short amount of time. Sorry about this and hope you find other shoes to wear

If the tracking shows estimated date of delivery to be next Thursday, more than likely you will get them next Thursday. All packages I have ever recieved always arrived on the estimated date of delivery. NY to CA ground shipping will not make it to you by Saturday. I suggest you go find some new shoes to wear for the wedding.

I always check where packages are coming from before I decide on shipping. For example if standard shipping is $7 and 2-day is $18 and it's coming from one state over, I'm not paying extra for shipping because it's usually here in 2 days anyway. Of course if I need something by a certain date, I pay extra so I'm almost guaranteed to have them.

Sorry you won't have your shoes in time.

1 week. The good thing about UPS is they give an estimated delivery date and it's usually right.
