If I am by myself, I try to make plans with girlfriends to do something fun - I live in DC right now, so I am really soaking it in before I move. This weekend, I am going to the national archives and the national book festival.

If I am with BF, we usually sleep in, have brunch with either friends or by ourselves, and take a looong walk.

Not sure what kind of terrain you have over there, but if you live near water, you could probably rent a kayak, canoe, or other little human-powered boat for a half day and it shouldn't be expensive. This is my new fav

Oh, and picnics I

usually read, relax, surf the internet, go out for dinner, go out to a bar with friends, do yoga, go to the dog park, etc. pretty low key, but definitely active

oh, there's plenty of running natural water here. i live in colorado and in an area (the poudre river) where it's amazing. people from all over colorado (and possibly elsewhere) drive up here to kayak and white water raft. but unfortunately, it's been cold outside lately and i'm afraid, fall has cometh. so no kayaking or white water rafting until late spring/early summer 2010.

thanks though.

I'm definitely a homebody, I really like to spend Friday evenings at home! I'm already tired enough to go to sleep right now, lol. My boyfriend is more social which causes some "discussions" between us. I prefer not to hang out with friends both nights of the weekend, I just feel like I don't relax unless I'm home watching tv hanging out with my kitties.. I sound like a crazy cat lady On Saturdays we usually will watch football at home or at a friend's house or sports bar. We go out sometimes to bars either downtown or in the local small area. I like going out, but I usually get so tired by like 11pm and I'm ready to call it a night way before everyone else!

I like to go shopping and run errands and get my "alone time" in on the weekends, go to the library, read and clean at home, and catch up on my dvr and shows on DVD. Some Sundays my boyfriend and I will go to my parents house to visit and have dinner.

I'm pretty much a home-person where I am content to be stay at home and just enjoy it on the weekends, but I how you feel. I feel that way often, too. Right now, especially when the weather is getting cooler and the air feels crisp, everything outside is so pretty. So, I'm going pumpkin picking one weekend day, going to a haunted house show one day, and to my cousin's twin baby christening, which is an hour and 45 min. drive so I can enjoy the scenery mile1

Normally, SO and I cook dinner together Fridays and unwind after work, then go to Barnes and Noble for hours to catch up on reading and get coffee and a brownie. We have friends that usually go too that we talk to. Saturdays I get up and go to the gym, relax at home, do work stuff for teaching, and we either get a movie, go shopping, go out to eat, or just get coffee and sit on the porch to talk. I love spending time like that with my family, too. Sundays I go to SO's house to eat dinner with his family, relax, eat alot and watch football. We take walks, too. That's pretty much it though. Oh, and Sunday is my lesson planning day :( lol.

We take our kids to Karate, (I work out in the early morning hours before the birds sing), go to brunch with friends, hit up the local farmers market here where we live, do a lot of charity events, (next on my list it to help and be part of Habitat for Humanity), and start a nice long process of moving to a new home. So packing, and a lot of renovations are in store. Besides school and the never ending studying, can't say I ever feel that we have enough time in the day. I pray each day and thank God for my blessings and the health of my family and friends!

Studying, doing assignments, maybe go into work for an hour or two if we've had a really large number of patients that week.

Lunch or coffee with girlfriends, rent a movie, cook dinner and maybe grill some chicken for lunches the next week. Read all my fashion magazines, browse the internet for clothes/bags/shoes, check the exchange rate. Check out tPF.

Shopping for the week's groceries, buy cosmetics or anything else that I don't get over the internet (not clothes obviously - Net-a-Porter has seen to that!)

Go to the farm, visit my grandfather, cook a meal for him, do his washing and any cleaning that's necessary. Take him for a drive if he wants to/feels up to it.

Exercise - running, walking, riding. Summer is starting baby and I needs to get in shape PRONTO!

Yeah, life's a bit busy at the moment, but will probably settle down towards the end of year. Hope so, at least!
