Gem rescuer!
I've wanted to do this for years, as I don't know much about my lineage. Both my parents are dead, so what little they knew about it can no longer be asked about. Basically, you buy the kit online, swab the inside of your cheek, and send in the swab to the lab, and they give you a report about your genetic "tribe"--places where your genetic make-up proliferates in the world.

Has anyone ever done this, and, if so, would you recommend the service? Thanks!

My son and daughter-in-law did it and they thought it was very interesting. It takes awhile (several weeks, I think) to get the results.
