Love the beach, I never lug anything. Two towels, sunscreen, a few bottles of water and snacks, my sons beach toys, a magazine, and my blackberry is all I need.

Waves to Nishi!! I used to hate taking my kids to the beach when they were really young b/c it was sooo much work and sand stuck in all the wrong places. Now I do love it though...it is a bit of work but very relaxing.

Same here. I'm super pale and don't tan, so I bathe in super high SPF and then like walking around or being active. I can't just sit.

Living on the west coast, the beach is a very important part of my life. our family has a summer place on the WA coast and I've gone there literally every summer since I was born. A walk on the beach, weather it's a hot summer day or during an amazing winter storm, is one of the most soul-cleansing things I can do. I can't imagine not being a short drive from a beach, whether it's a lake or ocean.

We have a home on the ocean....I love it for it's beauty but do not like the hot sun and never go into the water. I just love to sit and look at the pelicans and waves.

My DH, however, has a kayak and enjoys going over the a nearby island and brings me the most beautiful large shells.

Love it! I actually wish we had a much more decent summer this year coz we never once got to go. I enjoy soaking up some sun (since we don't get it here very often) and just relaxing. I love hearing the waves, really soothing.

I love it. My town is right on a very large lake (and have lots of access to other small lakes and rivers), so it's part of life here. I like going to the beach, walking by the lake, boating, etc.

love the beach- the air, how salty your skin is afterwards, how you get beach hair after a day out there, love drinking a fruity drink and soaking up the sun and people watching is the best!!!

I love the beach! I could go every day! I'll settle for a pool, too though. I love to take a book and just read outside every day under an umbrella.

Definitely love the beach. But we have a boat, too, and mostly we go out into the Gulf and anchor off by one of the inlets. I don't know what I would do if I could not live near water.

Love the beach, especially early in the morning (before crowds) and late afternoon when the sun is starting to set and the crowds are heading home.

I grew up going to the beach, worked at the beach and now we summer on Block Island. (We live a mile from the water, so we travel 200 miles to go to another island and hang on the beach. )

I absolutely hate the beach. I burn easily so no amount of SPF can save me. There are many other reasons to my hatred but I'll spare y'all.

You know, I said take it or leave it. I think I would actually change that to love it, but I say I can take it or leave it because I literally live 5 minutes from the beach and Vlad and I NEVER go. I really just do not care to go, don't care to get too much sun, don't care to go in the ocean....

But I was a beach baby and beach girl before college.. maybe I am beached out!
