I'm planning on dressing up as a 1920s flapper complete with wig, cig holder, gloves and mary janes. my bf will go as a chinese man from the same time period, so we'll be a couple. (he's working near shanghai now and i was there for a week visiting. the trip inspired our costumes)

my brother (he's 7) wants to go as a ninja...but really, i know he's just in it for the swords!

dookie will be a bumble bee, and coco will be a princess fairy. elvis will wear a sock with either skulls or pumpkins on it because he's still too small for a costume.

i can't wait for halloween! i LOVE LOVE LOVE it!

For those who have not yet had the opportunity to attend the annual Village Halloween Parade in New York, here is a link so that you can enjoy the scene from last year.

Enjoy

We don't go every year, I will be at home partying, at the kids school parade and trick or treating in the hood.

I'm going to a party the Saturday before but have not decided what to be. My BF and I are going to do something together but we still haven't come up with anything. Any ideas???

My birthday is actually on Halloween, and my BF and I are taking off work to go to an amusement park in the area that has a Halloween theme, and then go to a nice dinner.

Not sure about costumes yet.. Last year I was a sexy Referee and the BF was a basketball player with a huge afro. We did already carve pumpkin thou Of course the way my luck is... now it is nearly 75 in NY today... so I had to stick the carved pumpkin in the freezer so it would make it to Halloween.. I guess we started a little early. We just got so darn excited

Here's a few pics of it!! It's a Texas Longhorn pumpkin in honor of my favorite college football team! Go Horns!!

Awwww I love Halloween!! I'm so sad though, cause back at home, it looks as though people are decorating less and less... it's my favourite Holiday I'm sad that I'm too old for trick or treating (18!), otherwise, I'd SO be there hahaha... Not because of the candy, just because it's so much fun to go from house to house and see how people decorate their houses, how they greet you, if they dress up, etc! I loved that!

I think I'll be home for Halloween so I guess I'll be giving out candy! I think I'm gonna have a party at school.... no idea what I should dress up as.... and I definitely wanna get together with some friends to watch scary movies and to enjoy Halloween

Ohhh and bake Halloween treats!!! Like cupcakes with candy spiders on them and orange icing.....!!! I'm already so excited!!! I really need to decorate my room!!!

I LOVE HALLOWEEN!!! I have been bugging my DH to get the decorations down from the attic...

Are your trick or treating with the kids ? Are you dressing up ?
Yes, I am taking my kids trick or treating, but I am probably not going to dress up...have in the past, though!

Do you celebrate Halloween. ? Yes we do!

What's the plan ? No real 'plan'...our friends usually have their sons birthday party on that night and then we all go trick or treating together, just not sure if that will be the plan this year.

Ever since middle school my Halloween tradition was to go trick-or-treating and then watch The Rocky Horror Picture Show while I went through my loot.

This year, I really want to go to whatever event they have at Fly before Halloween. (I just need a feather boa or a pair of wings.)

Halloween night I might just watch Scary Movie 1 - 4 and seeing if The Rocky Horror Picture Show is on again. (I watched it Saturday night and was singing along to practically every word!)

It's amazing how many times you watch it there's always stuff you never noticed before. One part I found hilarious was when Dr. Furter just killed Eddie. He lets Rocky out of the elevator. Dr. Furter then goes,
"Oh, don't be upset. It was a mercy killing. He had a certain naive charm, but no muscle."
Rocky flexes and Dr. Furter lets out this "Oh!" shriek.

It's just a jump to the left.

Love halloween!!!!

We usually go all out with a graveyard in front and all kinds of stuff....but we just relandscaped the whole yard....so no graveyard this year.

I know a lot of people will be disappointed, but we will still give out the light necklaces instead of candy...we've been doing that for 10 years!!
