Fishy Stuff at Neiman Marcus?

For our anniversary last year, my husbad bought me a stephen dweck charm bracelet from the Neimans in San Francisco. About 2 weeks later, I was in a Horchow store (Neimans catalog closeout), and there is my bracelet for 1/2 price. I was PISSED, and called my SA at the local Neimans. After checking with the jewelry manager she told me that I would need to purchase the 1/2 price barcelet, send the other back to San Fran, and hope to get a refund. I then called the manager who was suitably amazed as Horchow and Neimans are not supposed to carry the same merchandise. After much checking, he refunded me $1100, as the bracelet was an additional 30% off. I was ecstatic....I bought a pair of shoes, and gave my husband the rest of the $$$$. Anyway, I think their markups are high, but their customer service is impeccable...

^^ That's a lotta money! I would be pissed too! Glad you got your money back and got some shoes with more that goes back to your DH's pocket.

I was originally shocked to find out how much he had spent....so when it was 66% off it was a great deal....made me happy....got an amazing pair of shoes, and still gave my husband $600.

I knew there was another reason to hate that store besides the stuffy SA's.!!!

I like the SAs, I like the merchandise, but the shipping charges? Are they nuts?? Sometimes I think they could save money by shipping it to me in a limosine!

I've pretty much quit their mail-order because their rates for shipping and handling are so obscene. It's hard to believe that I still make InCircle without it, but there's nothing better than Last Call!
