Otherwise I refuse to list any of my favorite songs as it would just date me horribly!

"I Don't Feel LIke Dancing" by The Scissor Sisters
It has this really cool, Bee Jees "Jive Talking" beat. Basically you could totally dance to it. But the lyrics are about NOT wanting to dance. It's genius.

"Outside" by George Michael
This was done after the 'Hollywood bathroom incident.' For those who don't know, in 1998, George Michael was arrested for performing a 'lewd act' in a public restroom. He came out fo the closet soon after. The video seems to be a comment about the whole thing. Note the 'setup' at the beginning and George Michael and his dancers in police uniforms.

"Tainted Love" by Marilyn Manson

"Personal Jesus" by Marilyn Manson

Both are great covers of great songs. I especially love the beginning of "Tainted Love." The entirty of "Personal Jesus" is just amazing.

And the cool thing is, you could walk a runway to either of those songs.

"Ramp The Logical Song" by Scooter
I have this thing about European dance music. And I love songs that put you into this sort of trance when you're listening to them, whether it be dancing or working out. Another song that gets me like that is "Sandstorm" by Darude.

I also love "Sandstorm" because it was playing the first episode of the first season of Queer as Folk, when Brian first saw Justin.

Sex Machine by James Brown

For the longest time, I couldn't keep a straight face listening to these because I can remember friends of mine singing these karaoke.

Voices That Care - Various artists
I sang this for my sixth grade graduation. The video is really cheesy, but it's a very sweet message. It was made in support of the troops (during the first Gulf War) It's funny how many people you can recognize in the video. The people in the video were so passionate singing and my sixth grade class . . . ? Let's just say we didn't have as much feeling when we were singing it!

"Just what I needed" by The Cars. Sad it's now the jingle for Circuit City BUT back in the day as an early teen it was a big coming of age dance song for me...lots of great memories of Lake Tahoe and a certain very cute blonde boy...hee hee.
