I do think it is ridiculous for the media to refer to a woman with this physique as fat, and agree that this sort of press doesn't help with unhealthy attitudes towards women's bodies.

However, as a model for Victoria's Secret it is this woman's job to have a flawless body, and if she doesn't (if she is a little untoned, or has a bit of cellulite) she should expect some criticism. In the same way that a singer performing live at some big event should expect to be criticised if their performance is off-key, or a 5 star chef if he sends out a less than average plate of food.

Yep. If anyone is seriously leaning to one side (as she is) your back will do the same thing.

Wow...if she's fat, then I'm a size "Saturn"! lol Seriously, VS models are known to not be runway size but a little more "curvier" hence why men salivate over the catalogs!

It's hell being a woman.........

what exactly is the problem?

ok, her azz is not really even and proportional but it certainly isn't fat!!!

my goodness, for those who dont believe an azz should have some cushion must really live a very interesting life sitting on bone....

I just dont understand how the fashion industry likes to advertise women who are shaped like pre pubescent boys. Come on, women have curves!! Deal with it damn it.

ill be damned if someone wants to call me fat, just because I have breasts and a behind. Those folks must be sex deprived and depressed!!

When one criticises a bad plate of food from a 5-star chef, or a bad performance from a singer, one is criticising just that - a particular incidence. Perhaps in this case we should be criticising the photographer; there are other current pictures of this model in this thread showing that she still has a pretty phenomenal body. After all, VS would not have selected her if they felt she would not present their lingerie in the correct - and best - light. Maybe it's more accurate to blame a sensationalist media for showcasing these pictures (which highlight imperfections that every woman has at certain angles, as others have pointed out) rather than the beauty this woman obviously possesses.

If this woman TRULY looks like she does in this picture, I highly doubt that she would be on the runway for VS.

I pray to be as "fat" as her. but the cellulite is comforting! now I know even Victoria secret models have imperfections.

She does have some cellulite, but as other people pointed out, the "rolls" on her back are not fat, they are skin. You can see this in the first pictures, did you look at them or the ones on page 5?
I think a lot of people are pretty hypersensitive. She's obviously not fat, and she should know that. If she doesn't- what the heck is she doing in a cut-throat industry like modelling? She should be able to laugh off nasty remarks like these by now...
