Question Which Fashion Mag R U Most Anxious to Read Each Month?
I'm not sure if this has ever been asked, so please forgive me if this is a duplicate topic.

I was thinking about this last month as I picked up all of the September issues (which I found to be somewhat of a disappointment this year!). It crossed my mind again today as I picked up the second half of this month's mags.

I subscribe to few mags - really only the ones I've been able to score free subscriptions to (i.e., Lucky, Allure, Self). The main reason I won't pay for a subscription is because I'm tired of seeing my mags on the shelves for a week or two before they finally arrive in my mailbox. I'm fortunate to live in a major city and most of the mags go on sale the Thur before the actual release date (so today I picked up Vogue, More, Harper's Bazaar, along w/all the weekys)

The magazine I'm most excited about and look forward to reading the most every month, believe it or not, is People's Style Watch! When this was just a semi-annual magazine, I'd anxiously await each March/Sept just to see what they had to offer. Then it went quarterly and finally monthly. It really is my favorite fashion mag out there! There's so much to look at and there really is something for everyone!! This is one of the few mags I save and find myself going back to a month or two later.

Next is Harper's Bazaar - I don't know if it's the layout or the way it's presented, but there's something about it that hooks me and sucks me in month after month. The mag can have really nothing of interest to me inside, but I still love going through it page by page. I can't wait for it to be releaed each month and get frustrated when it's late to the newsstand (which seems to happen a lot with this one)

My third favorite would have to be InStyle, altho it's been a little bit of a disappointment lately. Not sure if they've changed the features or if it's the new layout, but it seems to have lost some of its appeal to me and while this used to be my favorite, it's been demoted to 3rd!! (this is another one that always seems to come out late - I thought I'd find the Oct issue today along with Vogue, Allure, Bazaar and Self but nope - looks like it won't be out til next week now!)

Lucky used to be one of my top 3 favs, but lately it's been an utter disappointment (thank goodness I have a free subscription for the next 2 years! I'm able to subscribe to Lucky Rewards while not having to waste my $$ on the major disappointments I find inside!)

So how 'bout you? Which mag do you look forward to the most each month? Which one do you sit and go thru page by page, V-E-R-Y S-L-O-W-L-Y?? Which one do you reach for again and again even after you've read it that very first time?

People Style Watch is my favorite, closely followed by In Style!! I found the PERFECT bag for my rehearsal dinner in People Style Watch and am forever grateful to it! It really is my favorite regardless, though.

I used to be a magazine addict - it seemed like every time I went to the grocery store, I'd buy $20 in magazines, and I majored in magazine journalism in college. But lately, they just all seem kinda tired to me. Particularly Vogue - they really need to do something about Anna Wintour, IMO. That magazine is in bad need of some new ideas. I can only look at so many editorial shoots of models jumping in front of grey backgrounds before I start looking elsewhere for fashion content, ya know? I find what's produced on the internet to be more interesting these days, and all the interesting editorials from the big names hit the internet far before they hit newsstands. Plus the writing on the internet is often far more interesting and insightful than listening to poor Plum Sykes talk about how hard her life is.

I don't mean to be grumbly, but I love the magazine format and I hate to see what most of them have turned in to. Some of the international Vogues are fantastic - Paris Vogue and Vogue Italia in particular have some great editorial shoots. I wish American fashion mags would wake up and realize that they're all going to die out if they don't start putting out a more interesting product.

ITA! I am a magazine 'ho, but I find myself getting very bored, very quickly with most of them!

I just got hooked on Harper's Bazaar. I don't know why I haven't ever read that before.

In Style is always a must for me too.

I get Vogue, but find that sometimes I can go through a whole huge issue in 10 minutes.

I used to like Lucky, but have no interest in it now.

Mine is a tie between In Style and Vogue. I can't wait each month to open them and start reading.

I love this magazine so much I have saved nearly EVERY issue since it first came out!! It's fun sometimes to pull out those 2005 issues and remember what the "IT" bags were back then (FYI: Chloe Paddington, Fendi Spy and Kooba's Sienna!!)

I discovered InStyle years before it was famous because of the actors and actresses it showed. I still like this magazine but I don't spend money on it or any other anymore because everything I want to see is in the Internet.
