Jan, thanks for the Slanket link. I've been craving a Snuggie, but I don't like the colors. The Slanket comes in black! Yay!

I also want one of those microwave pasta maker thingies.

No problem. I'd be hesitant with a Snuggie purchase, because most of those TV ad products just aren't great quality or don't work.

I love my Slanket. There's so much extra fabric at the bottom for me, I can tuck my feet under and stay super warm.

I haven't seen the commercial but I was watching Jay Leno's show and he was doing a segment on his show about different products and he had a Snuggie. He asked Kevin did he have one. It looks like a blanket with arms.

It always cracks me up when I see the people in the Snuggie commercial sitting by a bonfire... the type of fleece the snuggie is made out of is highly flammable. They're just one spark away from being super warm!

Alright everyone...I did the ultimate ShamWow test. I put one of my socks (it's a thinner sock) under running water for a little bit until it was soaking, rung it out, then rolled it up in a ShamWow. I squeezed it so it would get every bit of water, unrolled it and...

MY SOCK WAS STILL WET!!! The ShamWow definitely did absorb more water than a normal towel would, but you definitely can't roll up a sweater in it and then unroll it and it'll be dry. So it works well, but not as well as the ShamWow guy says.

ETA: I used the Shamwow dry. BF says I have to use it damp...we'll see next time.

I would say definitely try it wettened a bit - I own a super chamois (not a ShamWow) that works awesome, but it definitely works better damp (go figure?!)

Lol go figure is right!! I was thinking...ok why would it absorb water better if it's already wet?? Mysteries of life I suppose...

I think I'll put that blanket up on the shelf with my electric fork.

Walgreens has Snuggies for 15.99. We bought one for SO's sister for her birthday. She didn't laugh, but we did!

LOL! That's what I've been saying all along! Just take a robe, put it backwards, and TAH-freaking-DAH! Snuggie!

I swear it is super ugly.

Put on a witch's hat...and voila...you look like Harry Potter.

I feel like an idiot, but I want one too! They look so COZY! But I want one made out of the material that the Brookstone nap blankets are made of!
