There is really nothing wrong with a little girl in a bikini. In fact, because she IS a little girl, it does not have, nor should it be viewed as sexual just because the bikini is small.

I understand where you are coming from, and it is true that a pedophile does not need a girl to be skimpily dressed in order to fantasize about her. I don't believe one needs to believe that in order to still believe it's inappropriate.

It is true that every object that is a sexual object in society has been ascribed that property. In fact, the more we learn about our world, the more we shy away from essentialist descriptions of the objects in our lives. But it doesn't follow from the fact that because sexuality is ascribed to an object, that that sexuality isn't relevant. By putting that little girl in an sexualized object (skimpy bikini), we are sexualizing her. It doesn't matter that the bikini is not essentially sexual. Pragmatically speaking, it doesn't matter that the bikini is not essentially sexual, if society as a whole views it as a sexual object.
