I dont believe it. But if the world really comes to an end in 2012, then it is. I dont care. As long as I live my life to the fullest with my family and my pups, thats all what really matters.

Do you have any idea how many times the world has been predicted to end already?

If it does, it does.

Hmm....I wonder how smart we are.....we can't even try to save ourselves now. It's there everyday in black and white....when we read the paper and see what civilization is doing to itself. Don't make it seem as if the Mayan's were not smart....all they did was live among nature (going green the "real" way...and figure time) and all it took was a few in the bunch to cause havoc and destruction a few sacrifices...meh. Also I think what they were just saying about the date of 12-21-12 was mostly about the conjunction of the Milky Way and some other planets. All that is meant is either a new beginning of time,,, not so much as the end of the world. Just how I see it....

The cosmic event which will occur on Dec. 21, 2012 is known as “galactic synchronization.” This means that the earth and solar system will be in line with the plane of our galaxy, the Milky Way. According to the Mayan calendar, this astronomical synchronization marks the end of the present world age or cycle and the birth or beginning of a new one.

The Mayan prophecy does not say nor does it imply that it would be the end of the world. But certain unprecedented changes would take place on planet Earth that will affect all its inhabitants. Planet Earth is on the last 5,126 years of its present cycle which, according to the Mayan calendar, began on Aug. 13, 3114 BC and will end on Dec. 21, 2012

I don't believe in it at all, come dec 21 2012 the world will still be spinning and we all will still be living. It reminds me of Y2K, everyone thought some sort of horrible disaster was going to happen that time too...we all survived that just fine...just like we will all survive 2012. I'm really surprised people buy into this so much. I saw the other night on a TV where all the planets line up about every 29,000 years (or something like that) well if that be the case than guess what it's happened before and the earth is still here and everything is just fine.

If it ends, it ends; there's not much we can do about it.

I think its pointless to worry about. A meteor could hit us and ahnialate every living thing at any moment - you would never know what happened. I could be stricken dead by a heart attack tomorrow. All I care about is being ready to meet my maker no matter how that circumstance comes about because no matter what, I am going to die someday, end of the world or no end of the world.
