I agree!

It is my birthday too. I'll be turning 30. I can sit around and eat a whole cake if I want and not feel bad about it!

I don't believe it. Some people thought that the same thing was going to happen when we hit the year 2000.

I agree it is a bit arrogant of us as humans to think major sh*t's gonna happen in our lifetime.

Awhile ago (the late scientist) Carl Sagan had a really cool series on PBS called Cosmos. The way he described it was to think of the present time as 12:00am New Years Day. In the grand scheme of things with the universe and galaxies forming, planets, solar systems, etc etc...we as humans didn't even enter the picture until a mere fraction of a second before midnight.

this is perfect!
i agree with everyone else too.. i've watched the special on it and it makes you think but also, i feel like a lot of these things that have already happened that fulfill the other prophecies could have also been through human mental manipulation (maybe theres a more technical term than that, lol). if you look for a problem or situation hard enough it will ALWAYS appear!

i also think that if anything it will be the end of an old era and the beginning of a new one. we should be optimistic!

I just don't buy it...the world has had prophecies of doom since the beginning of recorded history. This is just another one.

If the mayans had enough info and smarts to predict the exact date of end of the world, you would think they could have figured out how to save their own civilization.

So, its the date the Mayan calendar ends -- could it just be the calendar creator grew tired, bored, frustrated and just stopped?

I think it's just the end of time, not the world. You can google about those experiments they've been doing where the particle goes back in time and hits itself.

dec 21 is my b-day, so in that case, i better plan for a huge freaking party that day to celebrate the beginning and end of my life :) what a way to go out at the age of 30!

but i don't believe that stuff. it's fun to hear about though.

There have been many of these before. Unless you interpret the supposed "9/11" one that way, they've all been false. I think it's just ridiculous. I'll leave it up to God.

The world should have ended about 100 times since the year 2000. I'm still waiting.
