This is such a fun thread. And Twink, you must have been a hair stylist in another life. I cannot *believe what you did to her hair. How to you style Barbie's hair? (curling iron, rollers...what/how?)

Thanks :) I do 'give good hair'. To barbies and in real life, I always fo family and friends hair for special occasions.

For Barbie: No heat appliances (curling irons or blowdryers), it will melt. Just wash and set it (either by twisting the hair and using mini clips to hold or cut up straws for rollers)...if you want to style to be more permanent after you set it you pour just boiled water over her head, if not just let it dry and style.

This thread is sooooo hilarious. You make me want to go out and buy some Barbies and play with.

(I'm an only child) I used to have an extensive collection of Barbies (in particular Black Barbies) Wellllllllll, my mom was like, "you don't play with them anymore, you should give them away....What the H*LL was I thinking! I listened to her and gave, do you hear me GAVE away all of my stuff, till this day I still regret it. I had collectors stuff. And the little girl I gave it too, ahhhhhhhhhh she trashed my stuff, (unappreciative little

....). She cut their hair, wrote on them (and she was old enough to know better.)

Sorry as you can tell I'm still a little bitter about that! LOL...

Another funny story about barbie, I loved her sooo much, I used to umm cough...steal

her stuff from the store when I was little. I know I was a little thief, I used to hide them under my bed, but dumb me, my mom used to clean my room, so of course she found them, asked me where I got them, and I lied and said my auntie bought them, I course my mom checked it out, found out I was lying, and yep, I got my but blistered

(not litterally) for that!
Unfortunately, i was was a repeat offender, after the 3rd strike, I gave up, and reformed. (Actually I got tired of getting spankings, and of course embarrassed when I had to take it back to the store.) I think I was 7 yr old or something. LOL

Dang, couldn't my mom understand! I did it all for the love of barbie!

My mom used to always say, it's the same BARBIE just wearing different clothes, of course I didn't believe that!

Just some of my stuff:
Mansion
Townhouse
Hart Family station wagon
Corvette
bicycle
Hart Family
LOTS of clothes
ETC, Etc

I even had the Michael Jackson doll (with the red leather outfit).

RE: Hair - I know every Barbie is different but... what kind of shampoo do you use? I use fabric softener on mine but heard it can be bad... do you have any advice / comments? Thanks!

OK.....just some silly fun for Friday night....

Pierre has been telling Barbie about a little diner, with a great view. He says almost all the guys go here for lunch...so Barbie decides to check it out....
Pierre says, "Here's an empty table" Natlia welcomes them...."please have a seat"...

Barbie gives a little laugh, and with a nod of her head torward Natalia, says, "Ahhh, I see what you mean about a view. I can see why the place is full of men!"

"what?" Pierre asks. Barbie just smirks.

Barbie sees two men from her office. "Hi, Pierre told the view is great here, do you come her often?" She asks. Natlia hears the questions and answers, "But, of course...Sean and Pierce are two of my regulars"

"Can I tempt you with some dessert?"

"Dessert?....Oh, you mean Cake? No, thanks"

"Come to my diner...we have the best view"

Not all my dolls are 'barbie' (mattel)...the sean connery doll is from a James bond series from sideshow toys.
