This year they were preseason ranked 24 by USA Today poll and they weren't even ranked on the AP Top 25.

Only Direct TV and Dish have Big Ten Network but I think my house is switching to Verizon FIOS. I must have it!

I'm not an Alabama fan by any means - but they looked great against Clemson. And I thought Clemson was supposed to be the powerhouse of the ACC this year! Did anyone else catch that game?

I caught it! I'm no Alabama fan either (my mom went to Auburn, in fact), but I always root for SEC teams in non-conference games (I'll even deign to root for Florida occasionally...eww), and I was very proud of Alabama's performance last night because it's just another example of the SEC being underrated!

The ACC as a whole had a TERRIBLE, rough day yesterday - Clemson and Virginia both got smacked around, and Virginia Tech got upset by Eastern Carolina.

Yep--it was our ABC game rather than the MSU/Cal game. I kept waiting for Clemson to stage a comeback, but they didn't. I don't hate 'Bama, but I can't stand Nick Sabin, their coach. He left MSU, breaking tons of promises to go to LSU, did the same to them, went to the pros with the Miami Dolphins, and left to take the Alabama job. He's one of the most disliked coaches in football. I know coaches resign to take new jobs but there is a way to do it with some grace and professionalism. He does it with neither.

I will NEVER root for certain teams: Oklahoma, Florida, and Washington (and UW is even in my conference....I will still never ever root for them).

I have been a Longhorns fan even longer than I have cared about the OSU Beavers, so I guess they are and always will be 'my' team, even though OSU will always be in my heart no matter how badly we suck

We do work hard though.
DH didn't grow up caring about college sports that much, his dad went to UW (ugh) and he grew up in Corvallis...he's an OSU fan by default since he's still a student but we work so damn much it's hard to go to games anymore :S

The SEC is kind of weird about the teams you root for - you're considered disloyal if you root for a non-conference team against an SEC team, even if the SEC team is totally and completely loathsome like Florida.

I think Moreno is ok -- but we did loose defensive tackle Jeff Owens with a season ending knee injury.

I sure hope we aren't still ranked #1! I don't like being ranked #1 before we ever take the field.

Most of the teams I'll never root for are in the Big XII....I can't stand the 'Horns and the other Oklahoma team, OSU. Mizzou is ok but Chase Daniel gets on my nerves. Arkansas does a pretty good job of irritating me too...but other than those 4 I can pretty much cheer anyone on as long as they're not playing OU. Uggh, I hope whatever bowl game OU goes to this year (if they make one...they should) they at least WIN it this time...they always play so well and then get to a bowl game and it's like watching a train wreck.
