At which age did you stop shopping in the Juniors department?

Was there ever a day when you were shopping in the Junior's department and suddenly realized that you felt too old to wear anything there?

I'm still a small/medium or 1-3 pants size Juniors, which makes it very difficult if not impossible for me to shop in the "grown up" section....but sometimes I go shopping and I just don't buy anything because even though I really like the stuff I would feel silly wearing it. I I'm 27 by the way.

This is especially true with this whole late 80's, early 90's thing going on lately...

Can anyone relate?

I can. I still may pick up a shirt or jeans but thw majority of my shopping is for work clothes which there is not an abundance of. So honestly I haven't stopped shopping in that section, especially for cute summer tops, and I am quite a bit older than you.

I'm 27 and almost all my clothes come from the juniors department. I've tried on misses, but they just don't fit me right.

I'm 26, pretty much ALL of my clothes are from the Juniors department. Its very rare that I find anything that fits right in other departments. I'm 4'10" and wear a 0-3 depending on brand, I'm 105lbs. I've tried the petite sections, but it seems a lot of the petites assume that petite means short and wide and aren't very flattering styles...

I've had a little better luck here in Korea. Except for shoes. I'll always be cursed with shoes. Most of my shoes ALSO come from the kids section (size 4 - 4.5 womens, 1.5 - 3 kids) Which is why I mostly wear DC, Osiris and Vans.

Not yet! I love to mix from different places and the juniors department is usually a good place for me to grab tanks and layering pieces.

I try to avoid "trendy" items in the junior section and anything that's too tight. I still buy shorts from the junior section because even shorts in the petite section feel like mom jeans. I want them to sit below my belly button, not above my belly button.

I'm not ready to stop yet and I'm 36. I just try to stay away from too tight and too short. Also not over doing it on the trendy stuff. I like to give it my own twist by mixing it up a bit.

This is great because sometimes I am paranoid about shopping in the junior's section.

I am 28 and I still shop there, but mostly for jeans and shorts and dresses. I will buy shirts there, but they have to be a classic style. There are quite a bit of neon colors out right now which I don't like, and I don't typically purchase "trendy" clothing.

More or less when I hit 40, when I gained some weight. Up until then, the only way I could get my size was in the kids department.
