Sadly, I have been lately. I start to read or do my homework, and I just pass out, and sleep. For around 5 hours, which makes it hard to go to sleep later.

Yes! My friends joke that I must have been a cat in a former life because I love to sleep so much! Once in a while it keeps me awake at night but for the most part once I get in bed I'm fine.

Yes, I take a nap every day, and I usually can still get to sleep at night. It's the staying asleep that's the worst. I feel like I literally toss and turn all night and don't get proper sleep, thus the need for a nap. I work from home, so I'm able to sneak one in most days. I often think I'd like to look for a job outside the house, but I know I would miss my naps.

I wish. I'm just not a napper, even if I'm dead tired. If I do take a nap for whatever reason, I wake up feeling really groggy and out of whack. The only time I ever sleep during the day is if I'm REALLY sick.

Same here, claire! If I nap I am a jet-lagged zombie the rest of the day/evening. Best for me to just charge through the day and maybe go to bed a little earlier in the evening.

Absolutely. I've taught myself to nap. I think it may have happened around the time I had my kids. I don't do it as much these days, but I have a B12 deficiency and when I'm having a bad day, a quick nap can be a God-send. I have no problem sleeping later that evening. This time of year is particularily hard on me too when the days are short and there's not much sunlight. I tend to feel sluggish all the time and a late afternoon nap does the trick. Took one yesterday.

Naps are great!! If you take a nap for no longer than an 1/2 hr - you should wake feeling refreshed. But sometimes your body really needs the nap... then sleep it off

Why can't we have nap times like in the 1st grade?? Bring our sleeping bag in... Zzzzz

I love naps too!! Usually only have time for them on Sunday afternoons..just for a quick 1-2 hours max otherwise I'll wake up with a headache and won't be able to fall asleep

Naps are awesome! I love them! BUT, if I take a nap too late in the afternoon, I do set myself up for a sleepless night. I usually only nap on my days off.

I take naps every once in a while. It seems like when I try to take a nap it takes longer for me to fall asleep. I can't nap for a straight 30minutes-1hour or so. I keep waking up. If I manage to take a nap I have no probelm falling asleep at night.

Naps...love em, love em, love em. But they have to be the perfect amount of time so I am refreshed and not even more evil than when I fell asleep. A short nap won't keep me up but if I collapse for 1-2 hours then I will be up an extra 2-4 hours usually. I take what you would call impromptu naps. Sitting in my office chair, falling asleep, and waking up like "oh, shoot...how long was I asleep." Usually it is only 10-20 minutes but there are time I have woken up an hour later. I work from home but that goodness that doesn't happen to much. Or falling asleep while watching TV. I think Sunday afternoon naps are the best!!! We used to go over my grandmothers house after church..eat early dinner and that would be it...OUT LIKE A LIGHT!!

When its starts getting cold, then I start taking naps......the cold weather makes it easier for me to go to sleep. I try not to nap for more than 3 hrs though, and I usually don't have issues going back to sleep, because I go to bed no earlier than 11 pm.
