My DH is 53 - and he hung out with Alec Baldwin I think from 1965 (my DH = 10 yrs. old) to about 1970, I think. My DH didn't attend Massapequa HS - he attended the other HS (can't remember right now - I'll find out later)

Hmmm...I never thought of that! My sis and her DH have been there for dinner and enjoyed it. Although I love Prime's location, I'm a sucker for Abel Conklin's.

They're not HV locations, but we're at The Shack and Sweet Mama's pretty often.

must stop thinking about food!!!

The Shack is a summer staple and Sweet Mama's is really good. I used to love Abel Conklin's and still like it but I had my dad's 80th b-day party at Prime b/c we really love it. H2O in Smithtown is great too.

So... where are some good malls on LI? My MIL lives in Massapequa and hates the malls. When she visits ours in PA, she's envious!

Roosevelt Field in Garden City / The Source Mall in Garden City
The Americana in Manhasset

The Arches in Deer Park should be completed by the end of this fall I believe. They're supposed to have high end outlet stores.

Hopefully they'll build the Mall in Oyster Bay by 2008! (Which is supposed to be highed/luxury retailers similar to The Americana.)

Oh man-Roosevelt Field is a killer mall!

I also like the mall out by old Shushopn there, The Walt Whitman Mall-it is smallish, but has some wonderful stores.

I used to live in Oceanside and then Lynbrook and 3 years ago moved to CT right before my 2nd year of college. I miss LI soooo mcuh. Miss my friends, miss the shopping.. The malls where I live really stink - we have to pay to even park there. Traffic sucks - and all the stores I like to shop at are at least 30 min away because everytime I go anywhere, there's massive traffic.

I love Roosevelt and Walt Witman too, but my go to mall is and will always be Smithhaven mall. It is getting so much better too with new stores now. I was there yesterday at the MAC store and Sephora. Love the energy I get going and being at a mall.
Long Island is really beautiful. I am learning more and more to enjoy it. Yesterday I also went down Port as in Port Jeff. Sat by water by all the boats in the gazebos with a friend and enjoyed some Starbucks and good conversation as we watched the mini yachts coming in before the storm. Lovely.
