this is one of those songs that either people love, or they really hate. and the people who hate it, usually feel pretty strongly about that hate

but yeah, I love this song

It's a great pop song and her voice is rather unique.

I wonder if the subject matter has anything to do with why some people might not like it.

I think she has a brilliant voice, but the song itself is silly to me. The subject matter is definitely what makes me not like it. Well also the fact it's played so much kind of makes me sick of it too :) If I don't listen to the lyrics much it's a nice song. Very catchy!

not really.. i just think the lyrics and rhythm together are weak.. like how she has to say "i kissed a girl and i liked iiiiit".. like make "it" a 3 syllable world....

and i dunno there just arn't that many lyrics.... at least thats how i feel.

i'm sure there are plenty of songs I like that others don't.. and I respect that

I hate it. I think she's overrated.

The subject matter doesn't bother me at all.

Katy Parry have a unique voice, but songs where it's hard to pick out the melody are touch-and-go for me.

I totally am! I'll sing it out loud, dance around and then have my family members stare at me and go "what?!"

I suppose if I listen to it enough, I might just get used to it, but you know how you listen to something you're not sure about and it either immediately grabs you or it doesn't?

This didn't grab me right away.

She does have a really great voice. I love this song too... I also like "ur so gay" and "hot & cold" by Katy Perry

I'm sure people gave us the exact same looks when we were rocking out to I Touch Myself by The Divinyls.
