Default Anyone buy from The Container Store?
How's the quality of their stuff? My dad and I are re-doing my room storage wise soon hopefully. We thought of going to Ikea, but I heard the quality of a lot of their stuff wasn't so great (any other experiences?). Or if anyone knows a good storage-help place in the CT area it would help a lot. Thanks!

Well, it depends on which "stuff" you want to purchase... The Elfa collection is pricey but wonderful, I have shelving units in my bedroom and in my office. It's very easy to assemble, and completely customizable. Definitely superior to anything Ikea sells (I have quite a few Ikea pieces as well).

The Elfa collection does go on sale now and again... They usually do the main sale starting in January (30% off, historically), but you can use the Oprah coupons as well if she does another organizing show this year, and it is possible that the Elfa may go on sale again this year.... I am going to purchase one more unit for my basement rec room as soon as it is on sale again.

Thanks to the both of you! Yeah when Oprah first did her organization show after trying to get on TCS website for a while I saw that collection on sale for 30% off. Thanks again!

I got some clear shoeboxes that I love - they stack together and don't fall off the shelves. I'm about to get another se of 40~

I LOVE Container Store. It's on the "list" of stores I am not "allowed" in anymore. haha!

Elfa stuff is amazing, I just explode when I walk in there.

Container store is great...I've been using their stuff for ages and have never had a problem with anything.

My parents and I always go on a Container Store rampage every year or so, it's bad. Haha. Everything we've bought we love, and have had no problems.

some of the plastic storage drawers (with rollies on the bottom) from container store can be found at target for 30% less. just so you know, i realized that when I bought some at the NYC container store. but then again, it could be just NYC.

i shop at the container store a lot and i love their products. i have two Elfa systems and am pretty happy with them. yes they can get really pricey but they are worth it IMO, especially if you get it with the 25 or 30% off coupon.

also, i use the smaller containers for organizing our pantry. very useful.

I also use their clear shoe boxes when I purchase shoes that don't come with their original boxes. They are great!

a organized freak like me? (think Monica Geller - whom hubby refers to me as) I WORSHIP the container store. Some of their crap is overpriced though. You gotta pick and choose.
