Default Any Collector Car fans out there: the BJLV 2008

Hi all - just wondering if there are any collector/classic car fans on this forum?

My DH and I are huge fans - he likes the classics I like the muscle cars - we like these cars so much we are heading to Vegas for the Barrett Jackson collector car auction Oct 16-18.

This year will be the first that the Barrett Jackson is taking their auction to Las Vegas - Their Scottsdale auction showcases the finest in collector cars each year and we hope Vegas will follow in that tradition.

If anyone else is going to be there let me know, maybe we can meet up for some shopping at the new Barney's or the Forum shoppes.

Yeah - someone else who appreciates fine wheels; as well as, fine purses.

We TIVO the Scottsdale event each year and then watch it.

It is a big deal in our house -

I have a 1970 Chevelle (ss clone) that we are working on as our winter project.

We can't wait to actually be at the auction this year; and at the first ever Las Vegas event. You can watch it on TV this year and then maybe make the trip out next year!!

I love cars. I love bags would I would choose an awesome car over a few designer bags anyway. (I still wouldn't sell them though) Soon I'm going to start saving for a really fantastic car. Jaguars are nice ones, too

We love muscle cars!!
In our current collection is a '67 Mustang Fastback, '66 Mustang Coupe, and a '69 Ford F-250. We're looking to add to it very soon...people are selling their toys cheap these days.
I would love to go to that auction, but work is so busy. *sigh*
Here are two rides I'd love to own:

Here's a few cars from our collection, past and present.
'65 Mustang Convertable (sold last year to make room)

'67 Mustang Fastback (Will NEVER sell this car...btw, my DH looks like a kid here, heh)

'69 Ford F-250 (Grandpa gave this to me a few months ago-18k original miles on it! The slats have been since taken off.)

Please, please post pics of your cars! I could post about these all day.

WOW lil_peanut - those Mustangs are HOT. I love that convertible - what did you make room for when you sold it?

Here is a pic of the Chevelle when we first brought her home - now the car is in a state of disarray as we rebuild it.

I am excited to see other car buffs on here.

I will take lots of photos of the best cars as they cross the block - (hopefully, I can get close enough).

Two more weeks to go before the show!!!

A Superformance kit will do in the meantime.

Here in Fort Lauderdale, there's a meetup of car enthusiasts on the first Friday of each month. Some real beauties to be seen there:
