you also have to consider that a lot of people browse tPF from their Blackberries or iPhones and thus don't have the time/energy to key in entire paragraphs saying how great a bag is...

I think people are saying congrats, lovely, beautiful, etc - as a genuine compliment - not to bump up their posts... that's what I do, and I am sincere with my praise and compliments.

The short little "congrats" are sweet, nothing wrong with that. Rather see those, then some underhanded comment about how they have something better.
