I keep reading about Ferragamo shoes coming in A,B,C,D..But I have never seen the stores offering all the widths..

In Europe, most of their shoes come in B while in Singapore, usually in C or D, depending on the design.
I was told by some SAs that Ferragamo ships the most popular widths to different countries so it's difficult to find stores that offer different widths of the same design.

But it seems like in US, the stores offer different widths for the same design?
I've never shopped in Ferragamo in the US, can anyone verify this?
Thanks!

When I look online at the department stores (saks, Neiman Marcus etc...) it appears they only ever get the B width. In Perth Australia where I live they only get the C width in. So I think you are correct, that each store will carry most likely only one width which they sell as the most popular. I am looking at purchasing from the ferragamo website now because you can order in any width for most shoes which is great.

I would try ArthurBeren.com (one of the oldest independent Ferragamo retailers in the US) or call their customer service department. They carry 2A, B and C widths.

The Ferragamo boutiques in the US do carry a selection of widths.

I was in Bloomingdale's in NY last May and tried on some Ferragamos but they only had the B width, the SA told me to go to a boutique cos they had wider widths (B/C). Ended up buying a C width patent varina that is too tight for me, only to come back to Singapore and realize that our local shops carry C/D widths. I tried the D width but its not much wider.

I don't know if they still do this, but I'm an 8 and 1/2 AAA or a 9 AAAA in Ferragamo. I've seen them in Off Saks (because no one else wears my size I guess), but I have not bought any recently. I remember seeing a good selection of narrows.

I see your size, 9AAAA a lot on Bonanza, too.

American retailers think every woman wears a B width. My friends with wide or narrow feet have the most difficult time finding shoes that fit. There are a few nice shoe boutiques where I live and they only carry one width.

My patent varina which I purchased in the US was a C, that was from 2 years back and they still aren't wide enough for my feet so I've never been able to say it's comfortable.

Today, I purchased a pair in Malaysia which was in a D, it is the better width for me. My feet no longer have to suffer. Weird thing, they only sell D in Malaysia.

I meant they only seem to carry D in Malaysia and not other widths

Hi all!

Am new here so couldn't post a new thread nor put up an avatar so have to ride on this thread.

Bought my 1st 2 pairs of SF shoes ever and I'm in love with my Varinas!

Got my Varinas in 7C, 1st time wearing them and I was so happy I splurged on this fantastic pair of shoes. 2nd time wearing it I nearly cried and wanted to chop off my feet as they hurt SO BADLY! After numerous wears, they have now completely been broken in and I wear them every other day to work!!

Now my question is, I bought Carla pump in the same size (7C) as well, but they hurt within 5 minutes of wearing! Any of you know if I should bear the pain as I did with my Varinas, stretch them at the boutique (which has a waiting time of 2-3 months at least), or sell them off?

PS: Both are black patent in the exact same size and cutting, 7C.
