Check out this Marisa bag that NM has on it's website..I'm in love...but can't afford the full price..wonder when it will go on sales...

Need to check if Nordstroms is carrying it..I prefer them over NM..

The color is really pretty...my mom has a black marissa and it's kind of heavy though...

You might be able to get the bag on sale at the Ferragamo boutiques. Typically, Ferragamo boutiques have sales twice a year. The next one would be around Christmas. However, sales are final.

My friend got one at the boutiques during their last sale for either 30 or 35% off. Something like that.... So if you wait, you can always try the boutiques. HTH!

jomashop has a bunch of marisas on sale if you're interested in other colors

anuparaj, you like this color too? Have you seen it in person? I was down at the Ferragamo boutique on 52nd and 5th Avenue in NYC checking it out, but I have to say I wasn't too impressed with the leather (and the lining) of the new season bags. If you live near a Ferragamo boutique you may want to go and check it out in person first before committing. GL!!

Lovingmybags: yes, I saw the bag in person today. The downtown Seattle Nordstroms is carrying it ($1290) and I have to agree with you that I was not too impressed.
The color is absolutely gorgeous but to your point the leather sucks. I found it rough and pebbly..not the baby soft leather that most Marisa bags are made off...
The plus side of the visit was that Nordstroms is carrying an tote that is similar to the marisa (just a little more square..sorry don't know the name) that I'm in love with..($1100). It carried in a soft baby pink and camel. LOVE LOVE LOVE those bags..just a little pricey for me..I'll wait for the Sale

I think that the Ferragamo Marisa is one of the lightest bags that are available! Maybe it depends on the leather?

I love the Marisa! I find it simple and elegant. And only purse lovers will know it. I bought the dark gray one in Venice the past summer it has the softest leather out of all of my purses! You can see it on the Jomashop's website. The color is like a grayish taupe...kind of like the elephant color that is all the rage now.

Good for you to check it out in person, and glad you found something else to obssess over lol. I have a pebble-leathered Marisa from the previous seasons, and the leather is really thick and soft, so I wonder what happened to the Marisas this season? I thought the leather from Marisas of the season before were on the thin side also. Hmmm. SF is definitely pricey for most people, and even for those who really can afford them like buying candy bars, I'm not sure how many of them actually do buy a lot of these for $1k+ a pop. I'm definitely one of those that wait for the sales

acschjenn - I ordered from jomashop today - what a difficult website to navigate, I got kicked out multiple times and it froze my computer many times. They are moving, so the shipping is delayed, but after all that, I hoping that I end up with a great bag for a great deal! (I ordered the small Sofia - great price on that too!)
